Really interesting.
My grandson is 17 and 7/12ths and will be taking his test soon.
He is working full time as an apprectice commercial plumber/welder and once he has passed his test he will need a car to get to site and lug stuff around.
We had been thinking as small and cheap as possible, but it would seem we could do a lot better for less.
Is it just a case of endless quotes online, or would you feel this is the right time to use a broker?
Run a few quotes through comparison sites on various models of interest, put in a fake DOB or whatever you need to do to show as a new driver (not provisional) go left field and you might be surprised. My grandson is 17 and 7/12ths and will be taking his test soon.

All depends of course on what said young person wants to be seen in.
I do feel I've possibly de-railed this thread slightly, but happy to share the info if it's of benefit to some!
Insurance group 10 as I recall and insurance about half what my friends were paying for 1.2 Nova SR’s etc.

Seems like an honest advert and I imagine it won't go for much above thread.

I imagine there's better OEM looking ways of integrating CarPlay/AA.

Rear arches are very much a passage of rites with E46s! Mine had had one repaired and another is being done.
That’s a reflection of the road he’s pointed out. There was slight bubbling on all 4 arches which has been painted pre sale, I saw the before pics. It really is a very tidy thing.Rumdoodle said:
