Did the seller mistype the price the same as the text of the advert or why does an XK8 with broken gearbox cost 3 grand?!

I think that's probably worth not much more than £3k in full working order. He also hasn't mentioned that both rear quarter windows are shagged, an expensive and fiddly fix. I also wouldn't trust the no advisory MOT, although it was a very solid car (gearbox and windows aside).

I think 1960s Maseratis are sublime, and if I wasn't a w

A 22 grand Maybach 62 for £22k. Surely one for Mr Bolide.
Even a Maybach can't escape being upbadged it seems.

Interesting to see what it goes for. Shame it's black on black.

That’s very surprising but on the other hand what would the market be ?
The number of people to whom dropping 20k with no care on a 20y massively complex car with difficult parts supply is limited, I can’t see the risk/reward ratio being worth it.
I suppose you could drive it until it failed to proceed, then install it as your luxurious garden office as it’s both capacious and v comfortable.
Personally, I’m running a mile, there’s a good chance it’s a scam given the quality of the ad.
