I've now found two faults.

1 - the fuel flap release doesn't work from inside the car nor does the cable pull work. The replacement part is NLA but apparently if you clean it all up it will probably spring into life. I managed to get it to open by thumping it, and then it wouldn't stay closed which I also fixed by thumping it. This doesn't strike me as a sustainable solution.

2- The CD changer doesn't work. It loads discs and whirrs but the head unit is adamant there are not CDs. Also the £8 bluetooth cassette adaptor thing I've bought doesn't seem to get on with the autoreverse motorised deck so that doesn't work either. Boo.

I used to thump mine until one day the little plastic peg that holds it in broke off and the replacement (the whole thing, you can't just buy the little plastic bit) was a p.i.t.a. to remove and refit. So I don't do that any more.

Cheapest S65 I think I've ever seen outside of Japanese auctions. £15k + tax 95k miles.

I read somewhere that the Kray twins applied the same policy to people/things they didn't like, and suffered the consequences when the law caught up with them.
