They're expensive, but find another etc.As for a barge they certainly qualify imho, not that luxurious but a ride quality and simplicity that just doesn't exist in modern cars

Back when I met her my wife had a 405 Estate and it was totally reliable, comfortable and practical. It was a replacement for a previous one that had been nicked. Diesel, cops reckoned it would have gone to be a taxi. Diesel engines were bombproof.Skyedriver said:

Every now and again I find myself trawling the listings for manual 3 litre S-Types. No idea why as I already have a manual BMW 330i and really don't need anything bigger!

The Skoda Superb 3.6
I know the Skoda version was somewhat down on power, but unless someone with a VAG beard is about to tell me that they're actually completely different engines then "R36 in beige slacks and beige anorak" is a good enough description for me
