Only thing I ve spotted, is that the OBD port cover missing? Could that be a sign of something
No. Definately not. Not in a million years that is missing an OBD cover biggrin it is 21 years old biggrin I am surprised it survived that long tbh...
Only thing faster is a chiped 335d. Innit, macron? hehe
I disagree. Being suspicious, I wonder if they were checking if the DISA valves are on the way out or the VANOS. It's at the right mileage for these things to pack up, and on what looks like such a well cared for car you don't just lose the OBD cover. My 26 yr old E46 shed still has its glove box torch.
Owning an E91 335i I can confirm that the OBD port covers fall off for fun. I kid you not, I can leave the car parked (with it in place) for 24 hours, yet when I next get in it it's sat in the footwell, as if moved by ghosts.

Not yum. I've seen a few of these types of ads on c+c recently. Almost as if the vendor is a 3rd party.

That ad is a classic

"aircon (needs gas)" (needs dashboard removed)

"it is how historic so free road tax and ULEZ exempt so i believe"

"Previous owners description of work done below" (I believe these things have been done)

and then this classic "I've changed plugs/ distributor cap and rotor arm (both genuine BMW), oil, air filter etc" (it's running rough so I've chucked some bit's on it but it's still sounds like a bag of spanners)

Finally, the coup de grace "I only purchased in February, however realise I'm really a Jaguar man at heart so need to let it go" (I wants rid)

WOODY. I'm oot.

Yum

Here's one of these 3rd party ads for my Friday offering. Seems to have been on for ages

XJS V12 with possibly infamous 80's music mogul ownership.

Certainly a red flag there.

With 6 months MOT it might be worth a punt but it's worth scrap price as is.

And why, if it was with the Jag Heritage Museum would it need recommissiong ?
Unless it had literally been a paperweight and never turned a wheel

Maybe it's sat about for quite a while and needed bringing back to road condition, looks to be well documented. It's not my bag especially with twin headlights, personally I prefer the facelift 4 litre cars like the one Caroline Langrish drove in Lovejoy.

Because it is Friday, and I've not got a car to post - 'I'd prefer Carloine Langrishe rather than the Jag' smile

All day long. She causes enough of a knee wobble I can't spell her name.

It appears that I could not spell/type her name (all of the letters, just not in the correct order) frown

To keep off topic - This is the same age as Caroline:

Edited to include link to an old'ish car.

They don't all do that. Never happened in my E91 325i and hasn't in my E90 330i in over 7 years. Maybe it's only a problem in ones that need the diagnostics read frequently?

Yep, noticed that.

I do however think it is tattier than you are led to believe from the advert where they say that it would just polish out.

But...it is 2.5k and if mechanically sound and structurally solid, then boss around In it for a couple of years and enjoy it for what it is.
