Working through the list on the chairmans 750i
Done the sunroof seal as it was leaking and creating wind noise (the former obviously the more serious issue of the two)
Wheel refurb. This car came with matching Dunlops all round but front two were a bit worn. Luckily whoever fitted them bought 5 as there was a brand new one in the boot. So I bought one more and now I have a full set of decent Dunlops and won't have to worry about tyres for a while. The 5th one which is in the boot is okay as a spare if I need it.

Also bought a tool kit as mine was completely empty and you might need it for that day when you need to apply a field dressing at the side of the A14.

Still to come:
- Chinese screen replacement is on the way so I can have Spotify and up to date navigation. Will replace the existing screen so is going to look original.
- Headlining needs doing. I think I will pin it up at the rear as a stop-gap.
- Needs a service as I'm not sure when it was last done, going to do the transmission fluid and change 3rd gear solenoid while I'm at it.
- Paint the door mirrors as they have that special BMW plastic which goes 50 shades of grey when old.
That's about it.

What was the rationale behind selling?
I've got a chap coming that looks like a pretty safe bet to buy my XKR Convertible tomorrow, so I'm going to be keeping my eyes peeled for my next gamble.
I was sick of it trying to carve itself clearance on my driveway - it's only been that and my XJ thats caught. Metal scraping on concrete is excruciating!I've got a chap coming that looks like a pretty safe bet to buy my XKR Convertible tomorrow, so I'm going to be keeping my eyes peeled for my next gamble.

Yes didn't mean to piss on your new car, it's great to see such capable tin coming back into thread budget. Looks like a 2010 on facelifted car too?
Don’t worry, if I could have found a good S500 or even an S350 petrol I’d have probably went with that. 2012 LWB model and has pan roof. Seen some 7 series but trying to buy a car this time round has been a mission.
No replies from sellers, cars just not as described. Wasted a few days after being told the car was mint to discover EML’s, lacquer peel and a FSH that was totally fabricated on one.

Could be tempting, if as they say they'll remove all the plastic tat someone's stuck on it. Have we had an X150 within thread before?
That 450SLC is hilarious. I'm sure these rear wheels are needed to handle all the crazy torque this 50 year old engine produces with its 4-speed automatic

I really like these but only ever see ones in black or white about

I think the MC shift is to be avoided and a ZF auto sought out.

Was that meant to be two different cars? I like the interior of the Mercedes but the massive bolt-on arches aren't very nice at all. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202505102...

I can see the argument that 300bhp isn't going to be able to cash cheques those looks are writing but you'll not struggle to keep up in traffic, they still have performance that hot hatch fairies get excited for.
Even though they're old smoker cars now they have a lot of feel good factor.

Nice spec and just a remap away form some very healthy numbers
Friday from Japan;

I didn't realise that the Honda Legend continued, looking up the specs of this thing makes me want it especially with low 4's 0-62.

I have a hankering to update my V6 Crown to the V8 version, this one has an 8-speed auto and is a 4 seater in proper luxury with reclining seats and all sorts. Taking the wheels off this one and resetting the air suspension would make this the perfect place to serenely cruise.
