In the true spirit of barging, the XKR is away to bum me with a circa 3k wallet destroyer.

I shouldn't complain too much given it's been more or less routine maintenance and the odd small niggle in 35k miles BUT why oh why does a supercharger have to be such a labour intensive ballache to remove. frown
What’s it coming out for? Will it be getting a smaller pulley while it’s out?

Mine ate a grand and a half for two radiators a couple of months ago.

Already has a powerhouse reduction pulley on it.

It's been pissing coolant for a few weeks likely from one of the hoses in the 'v'.

Turns out there's been some bodge hose repairs in its past, adding up all the basic parts plus a water pump and thermostat gets pricey on its own.

Less jeopardy but certainly as much drama.
Less jeopardy? Pictures taken at a track day with spots of fluid under the front bumper? Brave pill required for sure.

You may be right, I was basing my assumption on GoL’s experience however it seems that not everyone is as fortunate.

Pretty sure that is some cleaning product. Think you're jumping to conclusions. Ad's gone now either way!

That reminded me - when I got my 5.0 XKR the inlet hose was shredded like that, I put on a used one but that didn't last and was allowing in unmetered air so had to be replaced. The inlet hose on my X351 failed in the same way too, and had to be replaced.

I imagine they're all like that by now.

If you haven't already have a good look at your radiators, the aux one that's horizontal under the car was leaking on mine and when it came out you could see that the charge cooler radiator was about to let go. It's a hard working cooling system!

A Sunday purchase, perhaps? Join a select band of owners of one of the most uncommon barges in the UK, a 5.5L R500 with seven seats, AWD and seven gears. 5.3m long so can vary all sorts with the seats folded, too.

The smashed head unit makes my teeth itch. I'm guessing he doesn't have the original one to throw back in there.

That Cayenne is still at £6k including fees and finishes this evening.

Hoping for flurry of bids before the Dalwhinnie comes out.

I hate ads like that. All that twaddle and it’s basically told you the model and it’ll get a full ticket on it. (And that it’s got a full service history - which is to be seen to be believed one assumes)
They could get rid of all the nonsense, list some features and have a far more appealing advert.

I wasn't sure of the best place to post this but I always admire this chaps Vel Satis (3.5 Petrol!) and Megane 225 when I walk past but it seems that he's just added to his stable.

A man with tastes that I thought this audience would approve of.

If I was a little more flexible, then I would like a facelift S203. This must be one of the first facelift ones - It has a facelift dash, but as far as I can see the headlights are pre-facelift.

Pre big-tax petrol C6 which has to be incredibly rare.
