Well... You certainly won't ever suffer the embarrassment of trying to get into the wrong car in a car park. (Something that genuinely happened to me once, when my daily driver was a silver vanilla hatchback and every other car on the road seemed to be a silver hatchback).
It's not for me, but perhaps this would be a good basis for someone who is into the steam punk aesthetic to have a crack at a car? Put some glowing stuff on there, make it antique brass colour.

Excalibur style!!

Ooft. I love these oddball Japanese models. BrilliantI think this looks better as a retro saloon.
Couple of nice sporty numbers, the ‘Vette’ is an MX-5 or a Miata as they call ‘em.
For one of this parish now north of the ‘other’ border.
And finally this but I think it needs to be a 3-door coupe or a 3 box saloon.

Similar love for this!! There is a line in a Burns poem that suggests it would be great to 'see ourselves as 'ithers see us'...thats how the Japanese see British and American classic cars...and their fans. Brilliantly bonkers perception!! Ironic chic for those in the know.

This is lovely My two cents is this, if you go in eyes wide open and expect to spend some money, then expectations met. For instance, the chains are worth doing from a pre-emptive point of view, then its a case of while you're in there, you then change the waterpump, upgrade the pulley, service the supercharger etc etc.
The engines are robust but in my view you will want to update to the latest version of the chain/guides and then the engine should go on and on. This is the current rabbit hole I am down.
I really think bang for buck nothing gets close to the level of opulence and effortless performance. I also think they have aged extremely well. Also, to give some context, they handle so much better than the L322 and actually handles dramitaccally better than my XC70 which is like a boat.
TLDR: just buy it and keep us up to date!

It failed! on the hole in the exhaust and the bent sill where the last owner dropped it off a bottle jack. I thought it might have been okay, and maybe it would have been had that only just happened, but I guess it was just left for too long. Frankly pretty gutted since I had a trip planned this weekend. It drove brilliantly on the way to the pre-booked MOT (Section 6, (2), (i), of The Motor Vehicles (Tests) Regulations 1981) and has far more grunt than I was expecting.
I don't fancy learning to weld in the rain with a rotten cold (maybe on the next barge) so I'll be letting the garage do it. If I can get it through an MOT for the difference between the asking price and what I paid I'll be happy (man maths).

Much obliged.
Enjoy the DB7 it certainly wont be like an XKR. You can fit the 5.0 XKR with the alloy subframe from some F Types with slight modification. In this case It lost about £2,500 of value in 3 years, and if I'd been dishonest enough to sell it privately I could probably have made a profit.
ETA - went to WBAC Saturday, it's listed on BCA today (and looks really good) for auction tomorrow. Quick turnaround!!
GOL, I assume you have an account with BCA? My leased Lexus RZ450E went to BCA in Glasgow 8 days ago, and strangely it is still there. The lease company offered it to me for just over £30K, but as similar mileage cars at franchised Lexus dealers are £28 to £30K it was a hard pass.
The BCA Inspector when picking it up remarked it was the best presented car he had ever picked up, but as he was recording no damage, it would be inspected again when it arrived at the BCA site. Still haven’t heard anything from them but as I was over 6K miles under mileage for the contract, expecting around £480 return based on the lease agreement. Could you see if it is listed for sale, it would be interesting to know what the hammer price is, registration was DA24 NMK, Lexus RZ450E Takumi, Bi-tone Aether Blue and Black exterior… TIA…
