The comments on that video could come from some of the posters here.

Not sure why got need to mention Clarkson, he's not the only car journalist around you know

I never said you were going to buy one, and that's your prerogative. It's the weird fetish you have to try and find anything bad on them to post.

You have an obsession, you keep coming up with the videos about something you don't want. You must be out looking for them directly or searching related items for the algorithms to suggest them to you.
It just seems you can't take other people having different opinions, views and humour to your own?
I presume you are another one who thinks opinions are all of equal merit.

Well actually I strongly favour informed opinion. Whether my own or not. I also tend not to present strong opinions about things I know nothing about.

When did I post strong opinions about something I know nothing about?

You appear to value uninformed opinion from YT videos and click-bait news. I presume when you post those links, you agree with their opinion.

Any merit in it getting to £1 per mile before it's introduced or is that just typical Mac master (YouTube) scariest?
For the millionth time - MacMaster is an entertainment channel, you don't go there for facts !
I think you might be being generous with your "entertainment" line hehe

I used to watch his stuff when he did food reviews, but then the EV stuff started, and to make things even worse, he began reviewing Benidorm.

The channel is now a complete load of tosh; he is chasing the money.

Went to Sytner BMW High Wycombe this weekend to see the new iX and maybe Neue IX3. I was surprised that the 15-20 cars in the showroom, none were BEV. None! I drove onto have a look at the Kia PV5 passenger. Almost all of their showroom cars were BEV and it was buzzing with people test driving and sitting doing deals.

neatly encapsulates what's going on. head in sand in some quarters, inevitable transition embraced by others.

Well BMW achieved about 40% more EV sales than Kia last year and over 28% BEV vs Kia at under 20%. Maybe BMW recognise that their customers for EVs are mainly company / SS and therefore they don’t need to lure them into the showroom to sell EVs. The fleet / SS providers probably provide the demos. Kia are probably more reliant on showroom traffics to shift their wares.

I feel we've reached a tipping point where the fear of EVs has gone and people just want the best car for their circumstances.

The fear is still alive and well on PH though laugh

My impression is that most people now seriously consider an EV when they come to buy their next new car.

It’s pretty inevitable when more than 1 in 20 of all cars in the country’s car pool are EV, they’re not a niche thing any more.

Did you not read the post you quoted? you have some sort of blinker on to only see what you want to see?!?

I quite literally say in the post that not wanting an EV is your prerogative...

When I bought my first EV in early 2018 they were still pretty niche. Just a few Teslas, Leafs, i3s etc. Hard to believe there were no Model 3/Ys back then! Now they are everywhere, along with loads of alternatives. Even PHEVs were still a bit of a novelty back then.

Just clicked on that EVcarnage video to see what the fuss is about and oh my days the guy has not helped improve the nationwide perception of west country people one bit has he! Classic angry middle aged West Ham fan too, with added gammon vibes....how many stereotypes ticked in one video? The comments are absolutely hilarious. Why is he ranting on about the lease deal either, as if the low mileage limit for the cheap price is something exclusive for BEVs?! Hilariously at the end of his rant he actually does a very good job of showcasing the Tesla's USP of being incredibly cheap to run for urban users. I don't own an EV but people like this are just embarrassing.

I m impressed that you stuck it out till the end laugh
I tuned out after he repeated the word “standard” a couple of hundred times. Oddly, it reminded me of the Peter Kay garlic bread routine, except that was funny!

I wonder if the Norwegians have some angry Olavs and Gustavs on Youtube telling them all that it's impossible, and if they only keep the oily faith (and keep watching their channels) that the nasty electric cars will all go away soon?
