I can't see many wives running off with EV drivers though to be fair, because you have to have your balls chopped off before you're allowed to drive an EV I believe. winkbiggrin
On the contrary Lee, you may be surprised to find that you stand more chance showing your understanding of how EVs can help instead of clutching your tinkle about ‘big V8s’ and ‘things that make loud brum brum noises’.

At what point will you give up on this chicken littling?

When EVs are 10% of the cars on the road and all this doom-mongering patently fails to materialise? 25%? 50%? 80%?

Or will you still be here, posting increasingly unhinged videos from weird guys whose wives have ran off with EV drivers and by god are they mad about it?
By the term unhinged you mean people presenting the same stats you use but with a different spin, aka a different opinion to your own that you don't like? Thought so.

This isn't the EV forum, people will have different opinions and views to your own.

This thread reads as EV buyers desperate to convince themselves by convincing others they made the right decision Vs ice buyers desperate to convince themselves by convincing others they made the right decision.

It's the whole sega Vs Nintendo flame wars of the 1990's

If you can't see the guy is a loon who is wilfully misrepresenting things for rage clicks from people like you, then I cannot help you.

To me it reads more like the educated vs uneducated. You can certainly predict which posters had some form of higher education on this thread. Not saying they are all EV buyers either, but the majority probably are (on this specific EV related thread).

So what you're saying...is that the educated can get a cheap EV on the Sally, and the uneducated can't? Or words to that effect?

I personally don't think education even comes into whether you like electric or not. It's just a simple case of you either like them or you don't for me.

I'm not asking you to help me, if you can't see there are two sides/angles to every story I can't help you.

True, but the majority on here nowadays aren't interested in cars with engines in them anymore though. So I guess that it is just a natural progression to chat about electric cars now really.

Plus this thread is still in General Gassing at the end of the day as well, and I do like chatting about cars in general, as my post count shows that to be fair.

No, I’m not saying anything about their financial status or even their preference toward EV or ICE. It’s more about their cognitive abilities. For example, I’m going to guess that you didn’t go to Uni. I could be completey wrong of course, but if I had to guess based on your posting history….

Then you’ve got posters like GT9 who are clearly educated to a very high technical level.

Contrast that with say the MB….

No, a lot of people on here run multiple cars.

Running an EV as one of those can and does make a lot of sense for many.

I dont think there is anyone on here saying "i only run an EV and its better than every ICE car ever, therefore everyon should sell their ICE cars and do what i've done"?

bingo! but this is how it's interpreted by a lot on here and elsewhere.

It reads of people who've got an EV demonstrating how it works for them and could work for others.

Yes, only in your own head though Lee. That's not the reality.

For somebody who runs a fleet of cars to serve different purposes, you seem closed off to the concept that many other people do the same.

Yep. The usual suspects try to make it into a “them” vs “us” conflict. They always forget that nearly all EV owners on PH also still like and often own ICE cars too. How do they think we even got here in the first place?
