I mean, with Dead Flag Blues they almost foresaw some of the posters here:

"The car's on fire and there's no driver at the wheel
And the sewers are all muddied with a thousand lonely suicides
And a dark wind blows"

Why would you go on threads on here and incessantly tell everyone EVs are not for you?

We get it.

Honestly.
I don't.

Bagpipes in context can sound great. Take the start of Godspeed You! Black Emperor - East Hastings. I love GY!BE and that was the first song I heard. If I'd dismissed them on the grounds of bagpipes I'd have missed out on so much
As mentioned I'm not a fan of the bagpipes, in any genre as I'm not keen on the sound.

Is that hard to grasp?

A little bit if I'm honest, for the reason I stated. If I'd fixated on the bagpipes, and the fact I wouldn't usually choose to listen to them, and had dismissed the song and therefore the album, the band and (not that they conveniently fit into one), the genre I would have missed out on a life enriching experience.
I wrongly presumed as someone who appreciates Tinariwen who use unusual meters, tuning and sound you'd be more open to giving it a go. We are all different so fair play if it's not for you.

Quite. The older 'standard' wheels were pretty nice, but I really like the current ones under their aero covers.

Hang the measly 1% improvement in range, these look too good to be hidden away!
Did you have a pre highland model 3 as well? I'm curious to hear what the 3 biggest improvements you've found in day to day driving with the highland Model 3 vs the older version?
I had a 2020 Freemont for 4 years, now have a 2024 Highland 3.

Biggest differences are efficiency, build quality, ride, materials, quietness. The screen is also more snappier.

I'm still on the original tyres after nearly 27000 miles. The 2020 version lasted around 22000.

What do you think of the electric bagpipes?

First I've seen of them and now immediately want them. A bit like the Electronic Tanpura I'd guess. Will they have soul or are they droning white goods like a noisy fridge is the question I suppose

Well for regular (let's say dull) tunes - Amazing Grace, Highland Laddie - the electric pipes would be fine. You would save on lung exertion. But for something like the Caledonian Rant or Piobaireachd, you might want something more sporty.

Replies like this just confirm you're a troll with no interest in having a proper conversation. I really don't throw the term around because it's often misused but you're a textbook internet troll.

The sooner you finally get banned the better.

That's the thing as I have gave them a go. I just don't like the sound of bagpipes, I do however play other wind instruments (melodica, harmonica, flute and clarinet) in strange tunings and using weird scales and timings.

I also like a few instruments that sound like bagpipes but are less grating to my ears.

To me you assuming I like bagpipes because I listen to Tinariwen (have done for 30 years) is like me assuming you like Akale Wube because you listen to Tinariwen.

Give me a Shehnai Oboe over bagpipes any day.

I'd definitely want both and the choice. I'd imagine the electric ones would have better performance than the sporty ones but for fun or special I'd want the satisfaction of doing it myself.

I was talking about listening and ruling out on the grounds of bagpipes rather than playing. The Tinariwen reference was more to open mindedness of different. It sounds like you have that very well covered.

Prefer the sound of the gyaling Oboe and lunches horn for a bit of organic drone myself

Yes sorry, think I got my wires crossed somehow. I do see what you are saying.

I love playing vst instruments via midi keyboard as much as I like playing real instruments.

I will check out the two instruments you mentioned, the oboe looks amazing and will delve into the history as well as sound.

I'm going to take my mates mg4 for a spin, maybe tomorrow, maybe Monday.

You can hear it here

Bloody autocorrect, dunchen horns not lunches.

Good luck with the MG4
