Is that 40% of the remaining contract, I suppose that's not too bad as it's only a few months. Did you lease it without driving one?
I have to pay 40% of any outstanding direct debits, which usually go out around the 20th, so it makes sense to aim for the hand back just before 20th. I've dealt with Cupra head office before, so I'm planning to get in touch and see if they'll contribute something towards the hand back fee. I doubt they'll offer anything, but it's worth asking.

I ordered it back in 2021 without ever seeing one in person, let alone driving it. They couldn't deliver it at the time because it wasn't finished, apparently it was missing some computer chips, so they put me in a temporary lease Captur for almost two years, which was actually brilliant. It finally arrived in 2023.

The problem isn't the driving. It could have been a lovely car, but it's never been right. There have been countless warranty issues, many of which are still unresolved. The local dealer has been dreadful, even managing to damage the car twice while it was in their care. They also fitted an interior light cluster that included sunroof controls, despite my car not even having a sunroof.

On top of the ongoing faults (I won't list them all, but there are plenty), it threw up a new warning the other day "Electric drive not working correctly. Please visit workshop". This is what tipped me over the edge. Thankfully it has since disappeared, but given how useless the local workshop is, I'm not going anywhere near them. I've even got another "free" service left, but honestly, I don't care. I can't wait to see the back of it.

Not a single time. But the Volvo V90 (great wafter), Hyundai Ioniq EV (very acceptable), Maxus T90 EV pick-up truck (awful but dirt cheap) and Tesla Model 3 that I've leased over the years have been pretty much bang on what I expected. I just chase the deal and cross my fingers!

I've gone for an XC40 this week, they were a little cheaper than that from https://www.carleasing-online.co.uk/car-leasing/vo... though it looks like they don't have any B3 Plus left, other engine/spec combos still on there though

I went for the quicker B4 engine in top ultra spec and it's £400 on 1+35 10k

Pre registered as you say, was told 31st Dec. They need to be delivered by end of Feb latest, Which suits me as my current car goes back then

Thanks for highlighting this (and to dave1980 for the original post). I've gone for the exact same car and terms, ultra seemed worth the extra and perfect timing as we wrote off our ancient XC60 on some black ice last week. Had hoped to run it into the ground but never mind.

Looking at one of these. Look a decent deal but gonna try get to dealership to see one in the flesh
I went on Thurs for a look, to check boot size and make my mind up on colour. Seemed a very nice place to sit, I just need to get used to a much smaller boot having a Kodiaq now. If you want one, I wouldn't hang about, don't think there's many left, the B3 Plus has disappeared from the site I ordered from and they said I had the last, or one of the last B4 Ultra
Didnt get to the volvo dealership but went for the xc40 ultra dark in denim blue from dreamlease.

I'm getting my 8th lease delivered on Thursday, and it's the 8th one I've not test driven. Although, I did sit in one at a dealer which I don't usually do.

I'm not sure test driving would be particularly easy, it's not like the old days when the local dealer chucked you the keys to a car you like the look of. You'd probably have to lie about your intentions and give them all your details. I don't think I could be bothered with the grief.

I get all the info I need from watching every YouTube review I can find. Not been disappointed yet.

Pretty boring I'm afraid - Vapour Grey. Sounds like I might be able to get it at start of Feb so will let you know how it is.

Looking forward to it as it will be like finally getting all the options I was too tight to pay for when when we bought the XC60 smile

I'm sure you'll like it: Volvo interiors are a very nice place to be especially when such a high spec.

I just finalised an order for diabase grey Volkswagen Passat 1.5 TSI eHybrid Black Edition 5dr DSG from Dreamlease.

1+35 @ £331pm with no other fees and 5k miles.

I ve got a Cupra Leon estate that was due back in July, but I m returning it early and swallowing the 40% penalty. It s by a country mile the worst car I ve ever had the misfortune of owning .

I didn't enquire, so does anyone know how much extra the maintenance is?

I asked a VW dealer about a service plan, and a 24?month package with two services and a pollen filter came to £23 a month. To be fair, I did well with the Cupra as its service plan was only £99 in total.
I currently have a '25 Passat R-Line eHybrid and it's a nice place to be. I came from a '21 Skoda Superb 2.0TSI, that had a never ending issue with the ecall system. The passat is a nice place to be when I do my 70 miles round trip commute.
I'm currently getting around 60 odd miles on EV only.

Audi A6 Avant - nope
BMW 125d - nope
Audi A4 Avant - nope
Volvo V60 - nope
Polestar 2 - nope
Polestar 4 - nope

Never regretted not test driving and always pleased with the deals I got for chasing the deal, not the car.

Went to my local VW dealer but couldn't even have a nose in the Passat as they didn't have any, just one used old model! Between this (head) and a used 330e (heart)!

Vapour grey for me too, was my first choice, but the Denim blue and Forest lake both looked nice too, if a little dark. Silver would have been ok too, just not white, black, the sky blue one or Sand (hearing aid beige)

I'm looking forward to it as well, should be quite a toy and luxury upgrade over my current poverty spec Skoda Kodiaq

Has anyone spotted any good enyaq deals? The best I ve found is RWD sportline for £472.56 on 1+35 with 12k miles
I got the 150kw 60 SE L 63kwh version for £314 per month with one month up front and 10,000 miles pa through Lets Lease back in September. Due for delivery in March. This is a 2 year contract.

The closest I can get is now £334 per month with Lets Lease, but that s over 4 years. Goes up to £369 for only 2 years.

Maintenance is approx £21/month - anyone know if that sounds any good?

Cheaper than mine, but only because of fewer miles and a shorter term.
You might need front tyres and one service, but you may just skip the first service if on long-life or you may have to do it if doing short trips.
For the peace of mind, I'd probably take it for the £21pm.

They told me earliest availability is around three weeks from now, so early February. I’ve postponed mine until March to minimise the cost of ending my current lease early, although I’m still tempted to contact them and get it ASAP and take the extra hit.
