They are engineered to drive in a “German” kind of way, have logically designed interiors with good perceived quality, exterior designs that seem to add value to the cars and a reputation for reliability, just like VWs of old.

Or maybe it’s just my perception? biggrin

Both have some striking model designs and exceptional quality - a breath of life into the market full of Germanic samey same guff.

They make the usual VW/SEAT/AUDI/SKODA stuff look dull imho.

No, the new Toyota in the 80s.

Corollas used to come in saloon, hatch, coupe and estate.

I compare the i30N to the Corolla coupe, the fastback to the liftback and so on.

They seem to be the angry-dad / chav-mum motor of choice round here... Think Vauxhall Zafira or Ford C-Max for a new generation.

Perfectly fine cars I'm sure, and obviously I don't notice the ones being driven sensibly and considerately, but they just seem to attract a large fraction of the local knobs.
