Loads about, my local dealer had over 20 sat in their compound last week waiting to be prepped, no hybrids coming through though! No updates on mine and not heard anymore about those who were suddenly told theirs were about to be delivered.

I'm test driving on Sunday, been told 12 months wait for a HEV or PHEV, less if you have normal Petrol or Diesel.

I ordered the Kia Sportage s line, fusion white with black roof on 11th February with expected delivery 31st March ‘ 22. After several conversations with the dealership, they still don’t have a chassis number! indicates it’s not been built yet. Until they receive this there is no date for delivery. Beyond frustrating as I’ve just had to pay for road tax/insurance/service /MOT. My Green Flag insurance had also run out. Don’t want to take out a new contract as all of this is covered with the Kia package. I’m wondering if I’ll ever get the car. 🙁

I think the dealers have over committed that delivery time, I bet it will be July/August by the time you get it.

I’m just about to order a PHEV, but can’t decide between 4 spec and GT-Line S. As far as I can tell, they are the same apart from 4 has:

Exterior “chrome”
“Machined bronze” as standard (light poo brown?
4 had a round steering wheel

Whereas GT-Line S has:
Black exterior trim
Electric and ventilated seats of slightly different design/material (bum coolers would be nice on sticky days #batwings)
Electric tailgate (never needed, never wanted!)
Flat-bottomed steering wheel (weirdly, I don’t dislike these!)
Infra-red as standard

It’s a company car with some personal contribution: after that, BIK etc there’s about £20 difference per month. Play it safe with a red car, or risk it being deemed the poo-mobile (and angrily demand it be called “bronze”) and pocket the saving? Whatever I go for, seems I’m in for a wait!

I had the saem discussion, the dealer told me the difference was:

"GT Line kit, and the GT Line S has a couple of extras such as - Power tailgate, 10-way adjustable drivers seat and 8-way passenger."

GT-Line S in red it was. “That’s BL brown!” was enough to swing it for me!

Most importantly, during registration, request a personal tracking number.
What does that get us? And when you say registration, what point is that? During order?

Got an email today saying my GT-Line HEV has arrived at the UK import centre earlier than expected and can be delivered in July.

This was ordered in March and wasn't expected to be delivered until September so hopefully some of you will be getting your car's sooner than expected.

My order was confirmed today, and the delivery estimate is the end of February 2023.

Kia confirmed that this was a “factory build”: from that I assume that it’s built to order, and that for some cars (perhaps the better-selling ones?) they’re available from stock? I recall Hyundai doing similar back in 2007-2008 just before the scrappage scheme kicked in: build all the cars you can and have hundreds of the things ready for delivery.

Which engine and spec did you go with. The ICE cars are generally one of the quicker ones to appear, HEV and PHEV generally slower.

I went for a PHEV in GT Line S trim. Not overfly troubled by the delay: one of the bigger first world problems!

Today I’ve been informed my Kia Sportage ( 1.6T GDi HEV GT Line S) has been built, they’ve received the chassis number and will be delivered on 15th July! Hallelujah!!!
