Hi guys as the title says has anyone ordered recently and achieved any discounts?
My son wants buy one and just gauging how cheeky I can be by asking for a discount.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Considering there’s a 12 month wait, and prices will be going up again soon, I don’t think you can expect much.
Just carwow it and see what you get.

100% this, it is a complete seller's market at the moment.

Just be prepared to wait at least a few months longer than whatever the dealer are saying in terms of lead times!

Cheers for the help chaps ordered today from Cars2, performance blue, Bose and black roof.
Managed to get 1k off list and some free mats, Carwow could only manage £650 off list.
They’re quoting 12 months but it should be here within 6 months based on current delivery times.
One happy 19 year oldbeer

Sounds good, what sort of insurance quotes are you getting for a 19 year old on that car?

I had a used civic Type R at 19 and was paying £2500 a year, I’d expect this to be worse!

He’ll have 3 years no claims under his belt by the time it arrives, he’s currently driving a 1litre zetec s fiesta which he’s owned for 2 years, he’s run a few quotes and there not a great deal more expensive, excess is higher though.

Thanks! He’s worked for it 2 part time jobs, good A level results, he’s about to start his degree apprenticeship in September and he wants a newer “nice” car as he puts it.

Just ventured into this section of the forum after seeing some i20N's at a car show (including round a track) and being mighty impressed with them! Getting one at 19 is epic... I had a 55bhp Corsa at 19 biggrin

It’s mental that 4 years ago you could get a new i30n for the same money!

Is that just for the first year? Still seems steep though.

It’s included on the OTR price of the car, you never actually pay it yourself.
