Just ordered a i20N in Performance Blue. No options (Bose or black gloss roof) were available, not that I wanted them.
Best offer was around £500 off of the £25,800 price, so £25,300 obviously. Dealer suggests a 7 to 9 month lead time, which suits me.

You definitely won’t regret it, still love mine and even at close to list price they’re still epic value.

Haha, right answer, thanks fella!

I was looking at 2018-19 used cars (Fiesta Performance Edition, BMW M140i, Mini JCW for example) and they were £20k plus for nice cars, that's with three or four years and perhaps 20k miles on the clock. Probably thrashed from day one too. Therefore £25k for a brand new i20N with a five year warranty seemed like reasonably good value.

I had a used civic Type R at 19 and was paying £2500 a year, I’d expect this to be worse!
He’ll have 3 years no claims under his belt by the time it arrives, he’s currently driving a 1litre zetec s fiesta which he’s owned for 2 years, he’s run a few quotes and there not a great deal more expensive, excess is higher though.

My son bought himself an I30N at 20. He was paying just over 1k for the insurance......

Took advantage of the increasing price to bail out if it into a Fiesta Zetec because the fuel cost got horrendous when he subsequently moved jobs....

Something my lad will have to deal with gotta pay to play as they say, he’s 3 months into his apprenticeship and he seems to be enjoying it.
From peeps on here who’ve ordered/purchased 6 to 9 months seems to be the wait, that would work as it should be here for the new reg in March 23.

Just ordered a i20N in Brass with Bose & black roof.
I managed to get £1118 off, free mats and an umbrella! So £25132.
I managed to get on a cancelled order and should get it March 2023.
If I wanted Performance Blue it would have been October 2023 and an additional £550..

, I’ve just joined the i20 N club , I paid 25k for this , black roof and standard sound system ( which sounds ok to my old ears ) and in elemental brass which is a free colour option , looks like not many in this colour as I’ve not seen another, I quite like it ! Seems not many others do, definitely looks better in the flesh and not on a computer screen . Oh had 220 miles on it when I picked it up , obviously been sat somewhere for 5 months . It does drive rather nice, enjoying the local B roads .

Great buy! The Brass looks so much better on actual cars rather than on the online configurator! I reckon it’ll be popular on the used market in years to come.

Price on these has gone up recently, think base list is £26 ish now, still cheap but the bargains people got. Still worth trying car wow.

I ordered mine in April 22 and got a phantom black with Bose for £24k using car wow. now that would be over £27k. had to wait a year but not regretted the decision. Was bought solely so i could stop wasting money modifying cars. seems to have worked as the thing is so good out the box. even the exhaust is pleasant. Feels odd having a car that i just fuel and clean.........am i now officially old

100% agree, apart from throwing a load of money at some top quality coilovers, I really can’t think of much to change on mine!

They were a massive bargain when new, i’m pretty sure some where going for sub £22k, and used ones are still going for above that now!

I test drove one last Saturday and then put a deposit down on a Performance Blue and black roof car with delivery expected end of September. It was one of two they had pre ordered so there was a choice of colour and spec but really only was considering the trade mark blue. No discount was forthcoming but gave a pretty good trade in for my px which helped a lot. Think I'll push for at least some mats if I can now having read the previous responses.

Just posted this in the reader cars thread which was probably the wrong place so posting again here.

Tempted by one of these but god they are rare. Nearest one to me is 3 hours away. I wouldn’t buy that specific one as looking for new or as new as possible and don’t like the colour. I’ll travel anywhere if I know I’m actually buying.
Are folks just taking a punt on these? Main concern is ride quality. Can anyone compare it to a F55 Cooper S?
On the off chance anyone has one in Edinburgh, I’d love a wee look.

Car ordered. Just under £2500 off list. Bose and roof have pushed it in to December / January build + delivery time. Will have to contain my excitement till 2024 then!

Bose is decent and worth the small outlay, although this is my sons car I really do enjoy taking it out now and then, ( when I can’t be arsed taking the M2 competition out of the garagebiglaugh) the N division have really nailed the front end and the way the LSD grip’s and tugs the steering pretty much reminds me of my old Series 1 RS Turbo from the 80’s.

A very enjoyable/entertaining little machine!

Dealer phoned a couple of days ago and looks like I’m getting one in my spec in a week or two rather than several months. Glad I preemptively shifted the Mini last week!

Got the car. It's good!

A tad firmer than the Mini (a 2018 S) overall but better over speed bumps and pot holes. Better quality dampers no doubt. Definitely liveable and the urban roads here are shocking.
The Pirellis are fine. No sign of wheelspin when provoking it a wee bit on a very wet day. My old mk.7 Golf Gti would have been wheel hopping like mad. Steering is much better than the Mini.
No sign of the rev hang people mention.
Can bog down on the clutch a bit but guess I’ll get used to that.
Dealer were good. Firmware and NAV updated to latest as I arrived.

Minor quibbles:

Can’t get the Bluelink thing to register. Dealer can sort that.

For those with the N logo mats do they match the locating lugs? Mines are about 10 cm off. They fit ok otherwise.
