Engine finally ready for Dyno test
Discussion
Well we started the power runs today and so far so good, we made 640bhp with only 1.4 bar boost, we are now going to increase the boost to 1.6 bar we should give us 660 bhp , the engine has been faultless , we have still got a few more runs to do, but I have asked them not to push it any further. I'm really happy that we have managed to produce the same power but with less boost so will be far better and less chance of breaking the engine.
Just getting all the charts together, so will post them this evening.

OMG. We just got 697bhp with 610ftlb torque totally crazy, the problem it caused though was runningz this power it kept blowing the spark out from the plugs so we have backed it off until I find a replacement plug that are better quality.
So we have now set some of the maps ie fuel save, high power, med power, low power, the low power map is set at 470bhp. 390ftlb this was the lowest we could get, the high power map is set at 656bhp 560ftlb, we capped the torque at this level so as not to break things, and also with this new ecu we have controlled the way the torque is delivered so it will be much kinder on the drive train as it comes in progressively, rather than all at the same time. We also found that we did not need so much boost as I had before to achieve these figures, it now runs 1.5 bar at the high power map, and 0.6 bar on the lowest.
Just waiting for Terry to send me all the graphs and charts, but they were all blown away by the results too.
Should have them later tonight.
Great job by all
Thanks

Amazing!
Is this on the new gearset or the normal CTS upgraded box?
It was on a bench dyno Graham, the car should be back together by the end of the week but I'll be fitted with the old gearbox and clutch as the new one isn't ready yet, then will be going to book a session with track and road to fine tune the other maps on the rolling road.Is this on the new gearset or the normal CTS upgraded box?
I'm hoping I will have a date soon for the gearbox so will be able to get our orders in, I just couldn't wait, so wanted to put her back together until the new one is ready.
Ah ok. Do you have an ETA on the delivery of the gears? My car will be in bits for a few more weeks and if it's not going to be too much longer I'd wait, it's much more hassle for me up in Aberdeen to have the gearbox sent away again and ideally with stronger gears I can have the car mapped knowing it can take a bit more.
Thanks gents I'm ecstatic about the results, never thought they would be this good, the guys worked really hard all week, and only finished late last night.
Just would like to thank the guys from AER and Life for there help, and Terry who without him non of this would of been poss. Life built me a complete bespoke software set up for the ecu so designed for the car, and is being made available to all, so good news for other owners, along with the hand built loom for car and engine, and they have all the brackets and fittings for the bench dyno, so again good for other owners who may be interested.
It's been a mad journey owning this car, and not only in it,but out aswell, I'm now hoping its ended and now, it's as strong, if not stronger, than any other super car out there, let's wait and see.
Skip from Bespokej, is very kindly on his way to collect my engine and get it back so he can put it all back together,
We have added lots more heat shield, incl bags for the turbos, all manifolds have been coated, we have added vents in the floor panel at the rear to drive air upwards, along with many other changes.
If you want? I could post everything that has been done from top to toe if anyone else fancys being as stupid as I for going this far
But hey with the new ratio gearbox I have a true 200+ mph supercar.
It's a steady state test, so they can hold at whatever rpm, to a very accurate level.
