If you want to write to the ECU you will need the .ec2 configuration file for a 975 ECU as the 5.5 software does not list our model of ECU.
Selecting another ECU type from the easimap SW will allow you to read information from sensors etc but you wont be able to change anything!
I was going to contact MBE to try to get the correct EC2 file but not got round to it yet!

Could all this 'new' or missing information and 'files' be put on Noble Parts so that there is a single source? Should be safe seeing as you need to be an owner to view it.

Thanks

Matt

Don't know about Mac but it runs on my new laptop with Windows 7 but needs a USB to Serial cable to connect it to the 9 pin plug in the engine bay. Using the USB to serial cable seems to be a bit flakey so I have been running it from an old laptop with Windows XP and built in serial port which seems a lot more stable!

Yeah with a serial port on the computer is the best way, but its a bit old hat and most computers dont have serial ports anymore!

As a long term Mac user, yes you will have to install an official copy of Windows. I use VMware fusion myself and have been using it successfully for so long I can't remember why I chose it over Parallels.

Interesting, will look into that as I only downloaded the free trial of parallels. I'll take my mac to work tomorrow and hand it to the IT guy. I've installed the USB to 9 pin connector driver thing so that's all ready to go, just need the windows now to make it all work.
