Too many mods to mention but hope to move the 2.5 from 467Bhp to 500bhp after my mapper is back to work.

A few of the usual mods - Compomotive MO wheels, intercooler, Roush exhaust, grooved disks with RS9 pads, relocated oil cooler to front, tunnel mod etc...
442 BHP and 415 ft lbs.

New pic of body style silhouette change to follow. Looking at some wind tests and some live rd testing so I can analyse the data to confirm aero change actually works as expected:

Testing still in progress but initial testing and data on air flow is showing some surprising results

Hi Chris, thanks it’s been a though of mine since owning the noble to get more air into the intercooler and engine Bay Area.
I designed and tried several other “roof and engine bay scoops” but although they worked to a degree, I just wasn’t happy with the ultimate look. This design ticks exactly what I was looking for, from the looks and also from the functionality side. As I said in a previous post, results are really good so far but still got a bit more testing so I can gather all the data and log the comparisons . We must meet up... what happened the noble meet that was going to take place down south?
Perhaps a noble gathering at Portsdown Hill overlooking Portsmouth the south coast and Isle of Wight?? Plenty of room and a great backdrop.

Hi Tony,

It is good to know that the scoop is helping get some more air flow in even if there was no benefit on that front the overall look it has added to the car was worth doing.Yes we must catch up shame gone quiet on the south noble meet Portsdown hill is a great shout plenty of space food and drink on tap and stunning backdrop much better location than boxhill.

Always said I’d never modify but seem to have done a fair few tasteful mods, m400 gear linkage and engines mods to 430bhp and 410 lb\ft the latest.
Problem is it seems to have an issue with overheating. Especially on track. Very annoying.
But I think it looked good on Goodwood circuit last week.....

Here’s a couple of mine out and about. I’ve enjoyed looking at everyone else’s too. Such a shame this forum is so quiet. I think I’ve barely posted since I bought mine three years ago! I was so busy 13 years ago when I first wanted to get into a noble. But it’s gone the same was as the rest of pistonheads unfortunately. Anyway, hi everyone!

Not that familiar with the GTO3, but does it have an oil cooler mounted under the rear clam near the rear wheel?

If so, one option may be to move the oil cooler to the front where it actually gets some airflow. Pipes can be run down the centre tunnel. Certainly improved cooling on my M400.

It would be nice if it came back to life. I remember it being really active a long time before buying mine. But it’s changed, the same is true with the TVR section too. New posts/threads would happily spill onto page 2 each day in the s series section and I’d be on daily. Not quite the same these days. Lots more goes on on Facebook. It’s good for chatting, not so great for technical info. Here’s always been best for that.
Now to try and find another photo and hopefully get to meet some other owners at some point. I’m always working/busy when the main annual meet has happened!

Morning all,

Popped out yesterday and my friend Ben kindly grabbed these images of our new (to us) M12. Having been out of the loop with them for a few years it's nice to be back with the Noble group!

Is this a custom scoop or a shop build it or was it off-the-shelf scoop that was modified?

Very curious as I was trying to custom make a scoop and gave up when I learned I'm terrible at body work fabrication.

I had designed and fabricated 3 different roof scoops. This being the 3rd which I felt gave the best results that I was looking for in turns of ramming air towards the intercooler aperture and also imho looks really cool. I’m in the process of final tests on the scoop with low and high speed runs and final positioning of the scoop. Unfortunately I was hoping to have finished them but as usual other projects have snuck in and taken up my time. I already know that data collected have increased airflow towards the intercooler by a considerable amount. I just want to confirm them over various live speed tests.
