yeah I used 4mm bit, didn't even touch the chassis. I shall order them now. Someone earlier in the thread said they bought 13mm as well as 16mm... was there any reason for this or just ordering error?

Not an error just wanted a choice - used mainly the 16mm as a bit more thread on them. You also need some SS rivets for the floor rails where they go straight through along the central tunnel into the cabin floor (and the carpet) or file down the sharp end of the 13mm fastners.

I take it the rivets would be 4mm? I might rivet the whole thing on actually.

After weeks spent getting the sheets cleaned and coated it's going back together...........

What thickness (not width) of Neoprene tape have people used? I see a reference to 2mm somewhere up the thread but have a lot of 4mm available and was planning to use that?

Any opinions on whether to stick to the chassis or the sheets, the latter would be nice as I can do it in the comfort of the house, watching telly with one eye and drinking beer, the former would be laying on my back in the garage! The exception would be the runs along the sheet joins which I think would definitely be better on the chassis.

Cheers

I've used 1.5mm and stuck one strip to the chassis, then realising I can't now tell where the rivet holes are, so I'm going to reevaluate things tomorrow and hope I don't run out. To be honest the only place you need it is in the cabin, you could just use duct tape around the front because it's more important that the aluminium and steel are separated and the panels well drained to avoid standing water.

Here's my stuff I've ordered:

Dynamat superlite for under the carpet, 80% wool, 10mm thick Hilton carpet from woollies trim, heat shield for the diffuser, some black chassis wrap material, neoprene tape, gorilla tape, stainless 10mm/4.8mm diameter rivets and stainless screws to replace what's there at the moment.

Anyone save the pictures for this thread? Links seem to be broken (to me anyway)
Or is there another guide somewhere?

Thanks

Matt
