Hi Adrian, remember not everyone can afford a lawyer. What did yours charge you for this?
It was only one letter and he charged the warranty company. they seem to be very sharp, the warranty came with the car, I wouldn't buy one.

I rarely get a warranty with a second hand car but if you have a dealer who you trust and who will be looking after the car going forward then I think they can work.

I've had more than my money's worth from a warranty that I paid for when I purchased my Noble from Bespoke. Martin at Bespoke has been really helpful in dealing with the warranty company and ensuring fair treatment.

I've had a completely different experience with my wife's Volvo - the warranty here was thrown in for free but has proved to be of very little value. I am fighting one claim for a radio repair that is very clearly stated in the document as being covered (up to £100). This warranty is with RAC and I certainly wouldn't ever purchase one in the future with them. Although I am optimistic of a positive outcome for this one claim, it has been a painful experience and one I have no desire to repeat.

My previous car was a 997 and I didn't fancy running it without a warranty ,I used Warranty Wise .I have to say choose the level of cover carefully to tailor for your budget / cover required ,but if it's covered they pay up no problems.

There are few grey area's with them if any, but they are pretty good in my experience.

As mentioned in earlier post. AA parts and labour is great. My sheds turbo
Went earlier in the year £465 towards it. Then two months later I snapped drive shaft, that was all covered on AA just £35 excess. Over the years I've used it loads on the Noble until I got it sorted.

Again, AA parts and labour is the way to go. Not had to use it for a few years in the Noble. However my Merc the other day developed a boost leak. Called AA out (as they have to see car). Drive it to garage as it could still be driven and the warranty paid for the repair. £500 towards repairs and you can claim 4 or 5 times a year. Can't go wrong as I think it's less than £100 pa on top of membership.

As it happens my other car is also Range Rover Vogue (V8 s/c) and I am having some problems claiming for issues that should be covered by the garage I bought it from. As some posters have suggested, it is essential that you get a solicitor involved. Just the one letter can change the situation completely. Also check your car insurance and house insurance to see if you have any legal cover included, my case is actually now being handles entirely under my house insurance policy. Failing all of this just serve notice in the small claims court (county court), it is very easy and cheap to do so. I am afraid I do this quite a bit, with the utility/phone companies mostly, but as soon as they receive a court summons, in every single instance, the matter has been settled swiftly. It takes about 10 minutes to do on-line and they are served notice by the courts.

I do hope you get this resolved, it is a miserable story, its not just the money (although in this instance it is quite a bit), its the hassle and general disruption to your well being (and how you feel generally).

Best of luck.
