Gave our Blue a wash and wax over the weekend, first time to give it a proper looking at in the 10days since delivery.
I have notice a load of sizeable (3-5mm) bubbles trapped in the N/S plastic film on the door ahead of the rear wheels.
Poor
A friend had this too, it's been applied in a rushed manner and they've not checked it properly. You may reduce the bubbles by heating it with a hairdryer and trying to push them out or flatten them if they aren't there due to grit or something being behind them.

Rubbish!

Might have something to do with the addictive laugh out loud acceleration bursts I keep doing…which of course would drink fossil fuel even quicker!

Around 200-220 at the moment. Expecting 280+ once it warms up a bit.

Done nearly 4,000 miles in it now. It's so bloody good. Range is about 275 so far.

Parked up against a Y today. Must admit it does wear its weight very well.

Only 300mi in but so far impressed in all but range - though for an EV it’s one of the best
The Hifi is surprisingly v good , I had the bermester in a 911 last and the Ys stereo is better for treble and soundstage while not too lacking in power

Just ordered one for my wife. Estimated Delivery: June 18 - June 30

Best spec in my opinion is the blue with black seats with 20's. Unfortunately, I can't wait until September, as might as hold out for the performance version if waiting that long. My PX needs tyres / MOT / Service and tax.

So have ordered white with white seats. However, just seen one today and the white seats looked awful through the massive windscreen on a white Y car.

So going to adjust order white with black seats on 20's. Saved £1k on seats ..... Money for the £2k performance boost.

Does anyone know when the Y is getting the 82 kwh battery in the long range version here in the UK?

Never. It is however getting the new ~79kwh LG battery that first came out in Nov in the M3 in the UK.

Really? Didn't know that.

So the current battery in the Model Y is ~75kwh and at some point that will be updated to ~79kwh. Is that right?

The white interior is awesome imo. Having said that, I haven’t worn jeans in mine since getting it in 2020. Have to wear shorts or trousers as don’t want to risk blue jeans dye staining them.

Sorry, I can’t have been clear, all MY LR in the UK have and are been delivered with ~79kwh batteries and are likely to continue to do so until a new battery pack get announced, usually this happens at the end of the year. I’m not sure anyone knows what Berlin are using, but we don’t know if we’ll get cars from there.

All MY here also get the new low voltage li-ion battery (replacing the 12v battery), hairpin windings motors and laminated/double pane windows but I wouldn’t call it especially quiet, maybe that’s more for thermal efficiency.

Berlin are using the LG 5L pack in 2170 form. They will switch over to 4680 at some point but it’s the US that will do that first.

It’s 79 kWh. There is no 75 kWh battery in the MYLR

Agree ! White seats look great inside. Apparently they hold up amazing.

It's just the model Y has a massive window screen and it's too much 'white on white' from this front on angle for me. Need to see the blank tints

The car I test drove was white with white. It was immediately named the stormtrooper and it was “too much” imho.

A friend has blue paint with a white interior and that’s nice.

I went with Blue and white interior. Very happy with the look. Had a white interior on my Model S for a year and no issues at all with the white.

With jeans??

I keep hearing blue dye stains are easy to get off, but I have seen some threads where people have had problems, so I don't know what to believe. I wear jeans pretty much every day, so I have no idea why I bought a white interior (other than thinking it looks much better, as its unique) when I can't even drive it comfortably now lol.

Haven’t had any problems with jeans. Baby wipes sort out cleaning the seats if needed. wink
