I think to go for a drive just for the sake of it you need an emotive exhaust note and to be banging through the gears. So fast as it is, it's numb in that regard.
When you say performance without the upgrade pack? You mean the 18 inch stealth?

Have you ever tried track mode? I have a track day coming up, and wondering if my P without the package is worth taking on a track, or if I should take the opportunity to hire.

Dunno, I assume people with bland turbo fours driving through a DSG still go out for a drive for the sake of it.

Maybe they don't?
Maybe but you can still get a nice exhaust on it and bang through the gears. My GT3s were pdk and snapping through gears in it with the noise is incredible. I'd spec pdk over manual in those as I think the engine needs it.

Yeah, stealth 18.

That's a good point about the track mode - I haven't actually tried it for the b roads...it's a good point, I'll give it a go and see if it makes a difference to the random braking.

As someone who clearly like their performance cars, how do you rate the driving experience of M3P?…Would be great to have the opinion of an owner.
I find it to be a riot to drive in all conditions, and a far different experience than the Model S.

Its relative “tossability” is one of the reasons I chose it over a lightly used Model S I could have purchased for about the same price.

Super-quick steering, low COG, instant torque, plenty of grip all combine to make it a hoot to drive, IMO.

You should at least think about replacing the pads and changing the brake fluid.
Which track are you going to?
