No, I was in the correct mode. charged to 80% warm day, just came off a supercharger an hour before so everything should have been good.
But certainly no pinned back in seat. I remember a motoring journalist once saying that his measure of a truly fast car is when under full acceleration the passenger should not be able to reach forward and touch the dash board - I would have no problem doing that in mine.
As above, that doesn't sound right. But certainly no pinned back in seat. If you're in Surrey, you're probably not too far from me... you'd be welcome to compare with mine.
Everyone I have driven in the passenger seat (including 4 up with a full boot) has shouted wow or some other expletive. They ARE brutal on a standing or rolling start.
There's a thread running on TMC where some of the latest P3Ds (2021 model built in fremont and delivered in Dec) are performing really badly when cold, the one owner reported something like 9s to 60 in some conditions and Tesla initially said it was within spec. It seems the latest battery may not be sorted yet and Tesla have now conceeded they know its a problem and they're working on it.

"No I was in the correct mode".. if you knew that mode was called Normal you would have said that. I call BS.
Also, I have been on this forum for 16 years and for someone to so quickly denounce my comments as BS rankles a bit to be honest - are you suggesting I don't own the car that I claim to own?Heres Johnny said:

Mine was delivered in Dec and yeah in the cold and at less than 50% battery the performance is severely compromised - something is awry272BHP said:

Ooh e-peen of 16 years. How nice. 18.5 for me not that it matters to the right of an opinion. If you quote something - anything, then at least make sure it is correct. I am suggesting that if you don't even know what the actual options are on the screen of your own car (which has already been pointed out by someone else), then your points are moot. In closing, there is probably something wrong with your car.

I have a little suggestion. Could you try counting in your head whilst trying a zero to 60.
You could download a metronome app on your phone and set it to 60 bpm. But just counting should give you a rough idea.
Good call, I will give this a go. I just downloaded an iPhone app that uses the accelerometer. I have no idea how accurate these apps are but I will count along as well. You could download a metronome app on your phone and set it to 60 bpm. But just counting should give you a rough idea.
Just need to find a quiet road at the weekend.
My brother in law got one a few weeks ago. I’ve had a couple of extended go’s in it.
Honestly i was a bit underwhelmed. I was expecting to fall over myself with envy and order one immediately but....no.
Once you got over the acceleration (and it’s fking insane in my opinion) it was just totally boring I found.
One thing that really wound me up but I presume I might get used to is the regen when you lift off the throttle. Can you turn it down or off so it coasts a bit more?! Feels like hard braking to me. Didn’t like it at all.
Don’t get me wrong, when I go electric, it’ll likely be the model3 I guess, but I’m not going to be choosing to make the change any time soon for any enjoyment reasons.
It’s a very very good washing machine.

Depends what you are after from a daily car I suppose. For me the fact it is quieter and smoother than any ICE car for the majority of mundane journeys is a revelation. On those rare occasion where the conditions and traffic allow for a proper drive I do miss the noise and drama of a good ICE drivetrain however.Honestly i was a bit underwhelmed. Regen/one pedal driving doesn't take long to get used to and is also a revelation for daily driving, but it can be reduced if required yes.

I no longer have a commute so my mileage is drastically reduced. I can imagine if I went back to my daily slog, my mind may be changed.
Let alone the fact he pays effectively zero tax for the car under his company car scheme!
One day it’s inevitable. Probably within 5 years. My new garage (in planning) has a charger incorporated etc as it would be mad not to.
5 years will probably mature the market a lot and hopefully there will be 10’s of cars to choose from rather than a handful now.

Still paid a bit more for the faster one though.
