If you can cope with the "YouTuber" presentation, this video is doing the rounds:

They basically beat the st out of a Cybertruck and a Ford F150 to see how well they handle the abuse. It's all quite dumb and sensationalist but there are some interesting moments in it, particularly when they try and tow the Ford and it rips the back of the gigacasted chassis off! eek

This is after they've already given the car a battering however, so it's difficult to know what to make of it.

I also didn't know that if you slam the doors too hard on some Teslas - including the Cybertruck - the door falls to bits.

Even if you assume that all their abuse was shown on that video (unlikely), the major fail at around the 5:27 mark (which they've toned down by editing) is likely what snapped the back off the chassis (or at least led to structural cracking).

Instead of revealing anything about the CT, this feels just like the infamous Top Gear Tesla Roadster episode.

The only good news? The comments are hilarious from people who think they're engineers whilst demonstrating no engineering knowledge whatsoever.

Whistlin Diesel somehow makes mindless vandalism quite watchable.

It's funnier when he's writing off new Ferrari's because people gey genuinely upset.

Back to the CT video it seemed that whatever the CT was good at the F150 was pretty bad and vice versa.

A F150 made out of SS and with about 800hp would be the ultimate truck.

The range extender battery pack that was supposed to get the Cybertruck to the 500 mile range they talked about won't get it to 500 miles, it'll go 470. https://www.thedrive.com/news/the-cybertrucks-rang...

Cybertruck. Now available with a machine gun mounted on the back! As seen being tested by that Chechen warlord, can’t be be bothered to type is name, has a stupid looking beard. AI generated image perhaps?

Presumably Tesla will know exactly who originally brought this car, and likely know where it is at any one time.

From Robert Dunn (Aging Wheels on YouTube) https://x.com/AgingWheels/status/18342753765849377...

The red car is an Electromeccanica Solo, the grey car is a Coda.

None of these are classic so it didn't seem right for the 'Classics dwarfed by modern' thread.

I thought there were some reasons that prevented them being registered in the UK?

Anyway, LOTS of them at SEMA this year!

Yanni is trying to get his registered in the UK. Canbus isn’t an easy job to get the lights working for UK market. Makes for good content.

From what I’ve seen Yanni had to import into Latvia or somewhere like that, then get all the sharp edges addressed, has found maps etc don’t work and he can now potentially bring it to the uk. There have also been a number of recalls and his car isn’t getting them as it’s out of country. Sounds like an expensive paperweight.

The waiting list which was due to take years to clear has also gone, there are now inventory cars in the US and according to some reports the production line staff have been told there’s no need to come into work. Who knows what to believe when others claim it’s breaking new delivery records
