I used to race and normally use a significantly modified 981 GT4 for track days.
When I'm driving my GRMN on the road I'm playing the game of reading to road, hardly using the brakes, holding speed in the corners and letting the chassis do the work.
My tyres after 9000 miles are half worn, the Bridgestones are not the best but aren't bad in the wet, I would say MPS4S tyres would be a worthwhile improvement.
On track I've done 2:12 in it at Oulton and a set of pads lasted 80 miles ... the pad material is soft and the grooved discs become cheese graters to the pad material when used very hard.
But most people will never do that
It was amazing talking to the noise testers where my GT4 reads 104 dB ... the GRMN was 74 DB ... that's 1000 times quieter. And most everyday Porsche drivers would never do 2:12 in a Carers 2 at Oulton Park.
The following P track day, P wanted to know what car I was bringing !
How many mpg do you get ?
I get 42 - 45 mpg out of my MX5 2.0 ...

Just gone over 4000 miles so should be well run in now , I am getting 28 mpg in my GRMN , better than my last car which averaged 24 mpg - a mk 3 focus RS .

Anyone compared one of these day to day with the new Fiesta ST?
I know a guy who traded his Fez ST mk7 for one and after less than a year went back to another mk7 fez ST!The Yaris apparently was brilliant but was costing too much per month and he didn't want to leave it parked anywhere. STs are common as muck and cheap as chips.

Yes I could easily get that ... but I do remember the days when my Peugeot 205 1.9 could be persuaded into the low 20's.
How are you liking it ?
Yes I am loving it , even getting used to the Bridgestones , can’t wait to try it on a set of Michelins. Most people haven’t a clue what a special car it is , but a guy today commented on it saying how rare and cool it was ! Only people who are into there cars know the potential of this little pocket super car . How are you liking it ?

fk. Drove past a dealership with one in today. Literally all I've thought about since. Don't think my swift sport would put much of a dent in the price though..... still want one. Still thinking....
Go test drive it , you will love it then it’s just man maths to how you can afford it . ( it’s a lot of cash but 19k on one of these is well worth it ) or you could buy a golf R ??Prices are quite strong on these at the moment (like most stuff i guess!!), only a few on AT and there is one local to me advertised (18 plate, 14k miles, £20500) and one at Cazoo (68 plate, 8k, £20k) but can only buy without viewing.......
Anyway...
I've seen OE front discs mentioned as pricey, anyone know how much? (Tarox are £750 a pair).
How well does the media option work when the phone is connected by Bluetooth and using Spotify (via iphone), no issues or glitchy?
Possibly there is head unit replacements with Carplay, not looked into it.
The 10yr Toyota warranty if you get it serviced there is quite attractive although i've noticed it doesnt mention 'Superchargers' in the covered list!
