Am I the only person who can be dissuaded from a purchase by watching the company put out a video of some driving which is 'a bit sh*tty'?
That’s pumaspeed for you!

DTUK box will get you 4.2 sec 0-60mph.

They’re selling it with an ITG air filter with results of 309bhp (from memory and 399nm.

It would make sense to just keep taking the orders and delay the corolla or fire up another production line / other model delay? Unless they expect so sell millions more corollas?
Probably depends on how much profit they are making, how much life there is in the tooling etc.
Hope they do open up more online Toyota UK orders. If so, I will order one there.

Early 2022 would suit me perfectly, and I'd prefer to place the order that way than go through a dealer (given Ferris' previous comments, which are completely understandable - I would never want to mess anyone around etc).

Fingers crossed they release some more online early 2022 slots.

What revs are they dropping the clutch to get that time?

Not sure, but I’m no good at launches (haven’t ever really had a need) and have some mechanical sympathy and on a poor surfaced B road with a slight uphill gradient got a 5.51 this week. Think that was about 2,000rpm. My first attempt I spun all the wheels and still got a 5.8 so close to the manufacturers claims in less than ideal conditions and with a less than ideal driver.

Very interesting, might have to start a new list of 0 - 60 times by everyone once they get their cars.

Seriously though, once I receive mine next week I'll do the run in period then probably have a crack myself. Lots, and lots of straight roads around where i live. Heck, I'll be blending in with the rest of the maniacs around here who seem to launch at every green light available.

Pretty high claimed outputs from a plugin box, no videos of dyno runs or anything that I've seen though...

Power was increased from 257 to 316 BHP
Torque was increased from 360 to 421 NM

I’m led to believe no one has seen any proof with this box. I know the DTUK has been verified by other sources and some Toyota dealerships are selling them.

Which makes me curious if that is really Toyota approved or not because obviously the engine warranty would be out of the window if you modify it.

It’s not Toyota approved but the dealer will look sympathetically at warranty claims is my understanding. Certainly Toyota UK have even been posting about the Litchfield modifications. https://mag.toyota.co.uk/uk-tuner-litchfield-eyes-...

I think Japanese firms have a different view on restricting sales than Porsche, Ferrari etc. Many years ago I bought a new limited edition Integra Type R. Only 500 units to be built if I remember correctly. I was surprised when Honda announced another batch. The dealer explained that there would be no more white cars, but of course there would be other colours....still a great car.

TBH, that's just progress. I remember seeing a Lancia Delta Integrale get beaten on a lap by a diesel Astra! (Sad days)

The follow up cars were black as far as I recall ...

I also bought a white one ... a fantastic car but my childrens' heads touched the rear window frame in the back ....

The Litchfield suspension development Yaris made £41,500 for the seller on Collecting Cars auction site tonight. The buyer pays another 6pcnt on top in fees. Pretty strong money !

Though at the end of the article they do say they don’t condone mods and the first few public comments are will this bork the warranty and Toyotas reply is any mods will bork your warranty

Came across the first one I've seen on the road at the weekend whilst walking across Blackheath common, looked nice in the sun.

So 44,000 all in with a 4000 pounds tuning and suspension pack. 6,000 pounds premium then with no wait time on car or Litchfield kit (which I believe now has a waiting list too)

Still 4 months or so until mine arrives, but that suspension upgrade interests me. Does anyone know how easy the adjustments are on the nitron springs/dampers? I'm not mechanically minded, but if it's simply a matter of a few clicks on an easily reached part then happy days.
