Where have all the MR2s gone?

On a 2006 plate, must be one of the last ones sold.
I like that!
We've managed to trace the history of the car and it was originally sold in Germany to someone in the Forces - does that make it an import??!!I like that!
We're really enjoying both sprucing it up and driving the thing. Little update below;

Nice but completely pointless to store/park the car this year to keep mileage down. Since it’s already, err, up.
That’s true but still stops the rust from spreading, trying my best to keep the car in best condition before I do a full restore suspension and rust wise Goal is to make it feel like new with some enchantments added

I had one same colour (is yours dark green?) but crashed it. I think mine was rev 1 (not sure). Be careful
Whoops, that fked it
Yeah mine is emerald green which was a optional extra I believe , came out with steel mist grey and Caribbean blue I think. Only lasted for 1 year so those are sought after along with the yellow and orange iirc. Whoops, that fked it

Either way they look nice in any colour IMO

Also not had any scary moments as of yet (bar the rain smile ) but they did make the later revisions alot less snap oversteer prone. Whoops, that fked it

If anything my car was all over the motorway (50mph) when it was torrential rain weather (that was scary)
Some lovely MK2s on show here - do secretly fancy one tbh!!
Anyway, we're getting a bit braver updating/repairing our MK3, plus recently discovered J-Spec for spares/repairs. Added bonus, only 10mins from me, wow, had no idea, the stars must have been aligning the day we got this;

Yep. The guy behind the parts desk sounded suitably embarrassed.
I always anticipate high parts prices yet they always come out at double my highest guesstimate.
Trying to source a genuine used one. But as my car is quite low miles the chances of finding a used one in better condition are slim.
But I dislike aftermarket parts. Got quoted £70 to recondition my one plus another £70 to add in the gear shift pattern. Plus VAT....

I stumbled across this thread and enjoyed reading it
I bought my 1994 Rev3 mk2 turbo a few years ago and I will only sell it when I am too old to drive it. They do feel very special to drive with a lot of character.
Mine is used primarily as a track day car. Has the st205 charge cooler, full decat exhaust (passes MOT), lowered on kw coil overs, slotted discs, boost controller, ~300hp. Wearing toyo r888rs and is very fast on the track!
My first laps here: https://youtu.be/WxlVC-vec0o
(Very much building up and learning the car)
It is completely rust free, 3 previous owners, imported in 2006, 100k miles. Runs faultlessly and has never let me down. When looked after, the 3SGTE is bullet proof.
