I thought the calipers were the same just red on CP, black on poverty spec?
on another note, the gr-yaris co uk forum seems a bit dead these days, is there another place owners are hiding?
I assumed he meant the ducts as they’re a quick swap. on another note, the gr-yaris co uk forum seems a bit dead these days, is there another place owners are hiding?
Everyone moved when the guy who set it up sold it to some American/Canadian company that destroys forums. Gr-zoo is where everyone left but even that seems to be pretty quiet these days.

I think it's relatively quite because there really aren't too many horror stories about chocolate or grenading components, and the mod path seems fairly well established so people aren't having to trial and error things.Gone are the days where people were pissing about with manual boost controllers, turbo timers, or plumbing in their own a-pillar boost guages that alone cuts down on the chatter.
While there are some big number cars being built now, the path to serious power is less travelled due to the cost.
And the social element is nowadays speard out among WhatsApp, Twitter, Faceache etc. so there isn't really the community you got with Scoobynet or the MLR in their heydays. Most owners are old and reasonably sensible. Maybe as the cars get cheaper and they are moved on to their third or fourth owners and we get the 'what da best carbon bonnet wrap blud' posts it'll get busier
Please help me with my wider education - but....
I did used to forest rally etc. etc (in all sorts of cars); love Integrales etc. & used to own a new Impreza; but every time I examine a GR Yaris more closely, when at rest, 'fraid the answer always is 'no'.
Understand it's an awesome experience at the wheel, but for me a car has also to be something you look back at; after it's parked.
Whilst whatever's under the skin, no Yaris can win that effect. Just like my old (new) Impreza, whatever the driving experience, it's the overall aesthetic effect of the tinplate which really counts for me. And that's where it fails.
So please - kind members of the panel - just tell me why I'm wrong.

You're not wrong; looks are subjective, and no-one says you have to like the look of 'em
Personally, I love it's squat little pug-like attitude. The bodywork is teased out in all the right places, the stance is great out of the box and only improves with slightly wider wheels or spacers, and I always find myself looking back after I've parked. I do appreciate it's not for everyone though. Mrs LLA hates it

You’ve got to reverse park it and look at it from the front. It looks pretty mean that way. Any other angle and it doesn’t really stand out. As above looks are subjective. I can’t look at a subaru and think they look nice but the Yaris I can. A fact can be right or wrong. A subjective opinion on what is pleasing to the eye and what is not cannot be right or wrong. You either find something visually pleasing or not. That's purely up to you To me the GR looks purposeful and appealing. Then again, I've also owned two E46 325ti compacts (looks only a mother could love) and also find first gen Dusters cool due to their slight "widebody" fenders (also owned two).

I absolutely love the GR, and have been tempted by one ever since they were released. I really need to get to a dealer and have a closer look around one.
What is the boot like on them? Big enough for a dog for the odd journey?
