I assume it is the same gearbox?
Yes should be. Either a bit reinforced somehow or just looser tolerances. Most PE cars already have 340/350Nm of torque when dynoed.

A bit of a pain to find the FAQ, then the download link at the bottom of the page.

Anyway the manual URL is this:

As an aside, I wonder how many of these they have sold smile

Its so subtle, you wouldn't know it was there...
And here it is: 85€ for you guv. Actually a very reasonably priced way to store the winter wheels.

‘No’ to ordering a part and fitting it to a car. Seriously? It’s just a part like any other.
Yup felt wrong to hear that too. I wonder if they really understood my question and just told me « no » thinking I wanted to order a Pure with the aero kit fitted at factory and not install one on mine.

I’ll call again tomorrow to be sure about that.
What you're probably encountering is a fairly typical restriction when ordering from dealers: They need to attach the part order to a real, actual car — usually by VIN — that actually had that part to start with.

For example, I have a Legende and wanted to order the matte carbon interior trim bits (I'm not a fan of the glossy finish) but I couldn't since my car doesn't _have_ matte carbon bits, so the system wouldn't let them place the order. However, they had a Pure in the showroom and offered to order the parts against that car instead.

This gets problematic when there aren't actually any cars around to order against. If the retrofit does work, I imagine there'll be a few cars in dealer stock whose records will end up showing them having thirty head unit replacements! laugh

I sm working on a 3d printed phone cradle that attaches to the centre screen. Think of it like one of those ipad tripod stands but in reverse. It’s really a simple problem to solve. I have something knocked up in autocad already. Just getting the 3d printer organised.

By the way; got my S today! Bloody brilliant!
Congrats on getting the car mate smile
If you need any help with 3D printing let me know. I have access to one at work and could get it done for free

Insta-lobbying with head of design. Doesn’t seem that it’s at top of their list

Stop the press – your new Alpine forum is here!shout

I've moved this thread and a few others into the shiny new forum but if there are any others that you want moving in from French Bred, then just hit the report button on any post in a thread and ask the mods to move it here.

Enjoy!

So it turns out all we needed was Apple Carplay and they'd give us our own forum, who'd have thought

They've been arguing about R8s for 14 years now, it's too early for Alpine, even the S...

Nah. A supercar has to be too big to fit a Tesco parking space, too low to get up a multistorey carpark ramp, have too little luggage space to go anywhere and have in-yer-face looks that will upset some other motorists. The A110 fails miserably on all counts.

Worth a confirmation that there are no mechanical changes underneath. Same chassis(s) as before, same engine and so on. Basically means all my Life110 kit is applicable just as before, and also quite necessary of course!
Dave, all,

So, in conclusion, the only changes of any serious note are:

  • the new GT and S get an extra 12 bhp and an extra 20 Nm - over the 2021 GT and 2021 S
  • all cars get CarPlay + Android Auto integrated into the infotainment system
  • more flexible option choices for the base model
Less significant changes are:

  • additional metallic orange colour variant
  • front splitter and rear spoiler options
  • some tweaking to the interior materials used for the roof and B pillars etc
  • modified grill for the door speakers
  • GT and S model denominations on rear offered as options
That's it or not ?

Even the quote below as stated in the PR material for the S looks to be stating what already existed for the S:

..."This starts with new springs which are 50 percent stiffer, paired to recalibrated dampers. The anti-roll bars are 100 per cent stiffer, while also being lighter thanks to a new hollow construction, there are hydraulic bump stops, and the body sits 4mm lower on its uprights..."

All correct, or am I missing anything ?

M.

Being pedantic, it's 8ps or 7.8bhp more than the 2021 S.

Another small change is the dummy switch on the right under the screen is now functional; it looks like it is to turn off the screen.
