I believe that to be the case. I may have one of a few cars that had the screen replaced before the root cause was determined. Or it was incompetence. Anyway, I think cars built from late '21/2022 will not have experienced this. Don't quote me though, my research is patchy & anecdotal

Note to potential buyers .the following car is currently up for sale and when I enquired the main dealer failed to disclose it has been used as a long term track car by Alpine! In all fairness I was told 1 owner and that it was Alpine and ‘may’ have been a press car. Which got me searching…

I know some brands are really caring about their 'own' cars. No matter if it was an experience car used in the tracks or a test car or a press car, they usually at least change the oil more frequently and diagnose the car.
