Atelier Colours

Here's Bleu Fonce on my MY2022 GT.
It's an inky flat blue that, like most blues, changes with light. Nearly black in low light (like the Atelier description). Mine was number 7 (back in June '22).
Have been told by the bloke who fitted the PPF that the paint is quite soft but no problems so far.
I ummed and ahhed about black or Abyss but bit the bullet in the end, as this is the colour I wanted. Not a very popular choice according to the numbers above but I am very happy with it.
I think Bleu Foncé was my original first pick, until I decided to go for a lighter metallic paint. It looks very nice though, especially on those photos that are not in full sunlight. Great choice for us Northerners who have to deal with cloudy weather all the time! It's an inky flat blue that, like most blues, changes with light. Ta. Gris Montebello is great choice. It is probably where I would have gone had I not plumped for BF.
For anyone wondering about Bleu Fonce - it changes in the light in the same way Ferrari Blu Pozzi does. The video of Nick Mason's La Ferrari in London that's out there gives a pretty close idea of the colour. Anything wearing Blu Pozzi is a little beyond my means, which is fine, as I am more than happy with the Alpine.

Hello all, we picked up our Alpine last Saturday (18th February), Azur Blue South Beach Colorway edition, #47. Ordered in August '22, arrived at dealers in late January. Very pleased with it.

Gorgeous. The white wheels work perfectly there.|https://thumbsnap.com/KRa49Ln5
Is it a base? Any further options and what do you think of them?

There does not seem to be a consensus on whether PPF is worth it in general, just wondering whether there is a consensus amongst Atelier paint owners? I am booked in for ceramic coating at Bellissimoto in Bermondsey, I couldn't justify the costs of PPF on top of the costs of buying the car.

My car is Alpine Blue and I'd worry that any paint work required to repair stone chips wouldn't match well and I've had enough trouble in the past finding decent body shops, so for me PPF was a no-brainer. Up to each individual to decide if that's worth it to them thoughworldwidewebs said:

I think PPF is worth it. I did full front end, door sills and lower back bumper. Its saved the paint twice already; stone on M25, and another time accidentally reversing into a sand bank on narrow road to avoid on coming car. Major scratches on lower rear bumper. I was expecting repainting, but removed that section of PPF and paint was pristine. PPF did its job. yes it was expensive at circa £3k, but I figured an expensive car should have it. Maybe you can respray stone chips for less, but matching seldom perfect. Not to mention the heart ache and hassle?

Worth it on Atelier imo. I got Orange Sanguine, full paint PPF. Next car will be the free Glacier White and no PPF
If you're spending over 4k on paint, you should definitely protect it!
I mean you say that, but spending 50% of that again (or more!) on PPF seems wild to me when there are so many good paint shops out there that would have no trouble matching, as I didn't think the Atelier colours were double or triple layer. If you're spending over 4k on paint, you should definitely protect it!
I had PPF on the Evora and didn't rate it at all. After 25/30k miles it started to look pretty tired, and that was within 18 months for me.
