Daily driver & if not what else do you drive

I dailied my A110 S for about 8 months, eventually got tired of the st roads and S suspension, so bought an A8 to daily. 6 months later I'm still tired of the suspension in the Alpine, so they're both going for a Carrera T instead. My recommendation would be to get the Pure (or whatever they call it these days).
Instead of changing the whole car why don't you have the Life110 suspension set up with revised springs. Supposed to be somewhere between the Pure and the Sessexstu said:

I thought about it but it's only my main complaint, not the only one. Infotainment is the 2nd biggest complaint. Also dealing with reliability issues now! Aside from that it's small stuff, but I've had my fun with it now. I still love how they look, and think they're great cars.xondat said:

fair enough, happy motoring in the Porsche. You'll miss the uniqueness of the Alpine though...I use the A110, as my main car. I’ve now had it fitted with LIFE110 springs, spacers, brake pads and hoses, induction kit and paddles. It’s perfectly usable as a daily and the economy is outstanding. I really don’t think the storage is as bad as some say? With some creativity, you can load quite a bit into it. The LIFE110 suspension is the perfect compromise between comfort and handling. I had an A110S on loan before and didn’t like that set-up at all! My other cars are a Fiat 500 convertible 1.2S, for nice summer evenings and a Panda Trekking 1.3 mjet diesel, as the workhorse. If only the Alpine was as reliable as the Fiats.
Hello all from the Netherlands, I've been following the forum for a while now.
My A110 GT has arrived at the dealership, is undergoing PDI (and David's paddle fitting straight out of the box) and I'll be taking delivery next Friday. Counting down the days...
I managed to get this beauty approved as my company car (it will surely stand out nicely, in the company's parking amidst all the EVs), so the A110 will become my daily driver. A friend of mine has owned a A110 PE from almost new and I was lucky enough to spend many hours behind the wheel of it, so I know what to expect. Which is why I can't wait!
For non-work related duties, I've got a rather diverse (and still too long) list of other cars, in random order:
- Ford Focus RS Mk1
- BMW 1M
- MINI GP.1
- MINI GP.2
- Fiat Cinquecento Sporting
- Volvo 850 T-5R Estate
- Toyota LandCruiser 5.7 V8
- Volvo C70 Convertible
- Ferrari 458 Speciale
- BMW M5 30 Jahre (will be sold shortly), as this was my daily.
But I don't smoke... ;-)

Can't believe I'm saying this...Haven't emotionally connected with the Carrera T. Had to pick up my A110 S after being fixed, and had a blast all the way home. I forgot how fun they are!
Time to go and look at a MY22/23 base model

Mine is my main car. It replaced an Evora & I don't miss the Evora at all. I use an X-Type estate when I need a boot - usually, that's just once a week, when I stick my mountain bike in the back to go & ride with friends. I also have a Honda CRX, which has been on SORN since I got the X-Type.
Although my X-Type is a manual, I was missing having a proper driver's car with a proper gear box, so I've added a Lotus Excel to my small collection. The Alpine is still my daily & it's been going very well in the recent sub-zero temperatures, with a set of Cross Climate 2s fitted to its 17s.
My MY22 A110 GT is my daily driver.
Currently on winter tires on beautiful Grand Prix wheels.
Works well enough for me as having a single household.
Ride comfort ist good enough even after having it lowered by 20mm with original Eibach springs.
Space for luggage is mostly ok. Gym bag is always in the rear trunk.
Groceries either go in the passenger footwell and/or the fron trunk.
Parking is easy. The comfort seats were a must for me since I knew I was going to drive it every day.
Plan is to make it a weekend car in some years if/when electric mobility is a better option,.
As I like smaller cars I‘d be happy to have it accompanied by a a future electric Mini, as I had two of them in the past.

Absolutely. Test drove the Pure, I'm going to order a new one in my "perfect" spec.
Nice one! What spec are you going for?For what it's worth, I do find the Life110 springs are better than standard. I've since also added the S ARB to mine and although it's definitely better on track I think the non-S ARB is better on road

Thanks for that comment, glad I didn't add the S ARBs. worldwidewebs said:

MY23 Pure - Glacier White w/Grand Prix wheels; 320mm brakes; sports exhaust; rear camera & sensors; Focal upgrade; telematics; and aluminum pedals. For what it's worth, I do find the Life110 springs are better than standard. Still not sure on seats. SO prefers comfort, I prefer buckets. Will reupholster red anyway!

If you are going to reupholster anyway, and going comfort then you have an opportunity to improve the cushioning (my biggest issue with them) by using softer leather, more padding or even going alcantara for the centres.Gassing Station | Alpine | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
