At the moment I’m thinking:

Blue
Black pack
Silver wheels
Yellow callipers
Alacatera interior with yellow stitching.

Base i4, white, red leather interior and callipers, standard silver wheels.

Possibly the Kef depending on how crap the standard hifi is.

Hi All,

I took a call from Lotus yesterday to say that I had until close of play today to finalise my spec without pushing my August delivery back. I am unsure what to choose with regard to the suspension set up. I am thinking standard over sport for the benefit in ride for long European trips, but having no way to know what either is like so I am struggling.

Any insight out there?

For record I have gone with Blue with black pack, black wheels and yellow callipers. Manual obviously and alcantara with yellow stitching.

Cheers

My advice is go sport with all season tyres.

The Evora GT 410 Sport on cup 2 tyres had superb ride quality I found, way better than any BMW M car for example and this is similar to what the Emira with sport chassis will ride.

If you have ever got in an M car and thought this is too firm/harsh, the sport chassis from Lotus will be slightly better in comfort, the touring much better.

I've gone Sport with Goodyear tyres as for me the biggest issue is the tyre and the cup 2 has very poor grip levels in the colder and wetter months.

Tour = If you want a really well damped and plush ride, handling still be good, superb and be OK for some light track fun.
Sport = If you want that slightly sportier ride but whilst still maintaining a level of decent dampening. Only add the cup 2 tyre if your only driving in Summer months or its a weekend / track car only.

I’ve also gone with sport and Goodyear, after some deliberation. Last two cars have been M2 and Z4MC and recently drove the Evora GT410 Sport having stepped out of my Z4 and totally agree with your comments. Must still be playing on my mind though as, having locked in my spec yesterday, I had a dream/nightmare last night where I was discussing the Emira with Clarkson and he told me I should have gone with Touring…

The images of Magma Red out in the wild look better than the configurator. I'm going Magma.

I saw the Magma sample and thought the car would look great. It's a nice rich, metallic red.

However, I ordered:

blue
black pack
yellow calipers
black alcantara with yellow stitch
diamond cut wheels

I have to admit, I'm a bit disappointed so many others have the blue. I love yellow, in general, but have had three yellow cars and never a blue car. Needed a change. Alternative was Nimbus with the red interior. With all the blue cars that will be out there, maybe I made a mistake and should have gone grey. Rather ironic that grey is the more rare spec.

So 97 of us ordered one roughly?

How many actually have one now and how many still have one on order?

Mine is currently supposed to be Feb '23 production, March delivery, but I believe it will - or already did - slip.

Ordered first half of July 2021.
