I have my first one coming tomorrow guys! I'm really looking forward to driving it as I unbelievably have never actually got to drive one yet so first job will be a good couple of hours run out in it see what the fuss is about. Very low mileage (under 2k) and will be 60k. Yellow.
And still the unsold Sarah Cox car sits there at £65k…I’m sure you’ll move yours on quicker!
Well our first Emira landed today it won't be the last what a car!
Had a short drive this morning and a good hour out in it this afternoon over some familiar and challenging roads and it's pretty impressive. Its a Touring one I have in which is great over the rough roads I think me personally I will prefer the sports dampers as I do tend to push on and lean into a car pretty quickly so I'm very much looking forward to seeing the difference that makes.
The fit and finish is great I love the Kef audio this is easily better than the Porsche Bose not sure if the Key thing is just branding or of they do actually make the audio but its very good. Infotainment screen is very good amongst the better ones I have seen in any car really. the start button cover I think if I had one full time would be in the bin thats a bit annoying. the noise is a little bit lacking having been hammering round in a couple of 410 Exiges last week but its decent with some nice little crackles going on. nothing that couldn't be sorted with a valve controller really.
Overall yes very impressed with it I'm not really getting some of the criticisms aimed at it from some quarters I suspect a lot of people were wanting to justify their cancellation decisions having bottled it when the economy has had a wobble as this is a fundamentally better car than the Evora 400 its based on. Definite evolution. I used to own a 410 Evora it's not quite as tight and firm as that car but I prefer it to the regular 400. The seats are 57% less crap than the Evora 400 seats but no more. They really lack lateral support it's a bit baffling that they couldn't just put some proper seats in it like the old S1 Recaro's. At circa 60k its a better buy than a 981 GT4 at the new price of 90k I can see why they are struggling as the 718 GT4 is a more compelling proposition but at this 60k ish price point its a real gem of a thing.

I suspect the initial poor reviews, numerous production delays and subsequent & numerous price increases didn’t help them hold on to deposits. That said it looks great and if initial v6 prices now starting with a £5 it could be a fantastic used proposition..peterfield781 said:

I drove dealer demo 4 cylinder one on a trackday and it was mighty impressive, sounded good, went well and the body control as you’d expect from a Lotus was brilliant. The I write fit and finish was like no Lotus I’ve ever been in, certainly in a different league to my buddy’s Exige.
I agree at £90k it’s too much but £60k is much more compelling

Plenty of delivery mileage 2.0s on AT now at £62-63k so I think I’d be torn. I liked the sound of the V6, wasn’t sure about any of the colours or the manual gearshift. So I’d probably have been better served by a 2.0, and at around £60k the main (new/nearly new) competition is only 4-cylinder as well.
Have the 2.0s ironed out any of the early issues on the V6s? And were they real issues or just people being picky?

Nice, i drove one at the Bristol dealer much like that.
How to you find the seats? My only query was the seats, otherwise felt very ‘familiar’ a steer, I drove there in my Esprit
I’m mulling over a 4 cylinder in Osmium with ice grey interior
The seats are better than the old 400 series Evora which weren't even fit for purpose in my view. The old S1 Recaros are what should really be in there though! You can just about get comfortable but not enough lateral support for a car of this type I would say. How to you find the seats?
