It seems the V6 is not as dead as many would have us believe.

I just hope they don't do the nasty to shift any remaining V6 FE's that have been sat in storage for years (namely replace the First Edition badges and sell at the new price point..)

While no more First Edition cars ( both V6 and AMG) are being build, they are now taking orders for the regular V6 and Turbo SE and both can be ordered now.
Are they taking orders for a regular turbo, not the SE? It is rusty but a thing anymore?

My car was new at Xmas but when it was built I have no idea and TBH don't really care. It has all the kit on it, virtually zero miles and the specs didn't change on more recent cars (I have a V6 Manual). The dealer did say they would make sure all updates were completed before it was picked up by me.

Lots of cars sit around waiting to be sold. Let's fact it, my car will be running around in 15-20 years so a bit of time waiting to be sold is nothing really.

That's what the dealer I spoke with on Friday said, and that with options you are heading for £100k new for the v6 eek
Yeah, it's very steep in my view you're way over Cayman territory there and at 911. Time will tell how that plays out but I wouldn't be buying new at that rate.
Agreed, its too much vs what else is available for the money. A decent example 570S is late 80s-low 90s which is a different class altogether. Presumably it will be good for residuals though!
I did look at the 570S before buying, but running costs can be significantly more. The Emira was brand new, has the Toyota engine for ultimate reliability and running costs were far lower. Even my man-maths couldn't get me one!
