And as I speak, exactly 1000 Taycan.
What does that mean exactly no demand for the Macan - does it mean nobody wants them who is ordering all these as I thought Porsche order to spec?

The prices I see on them still remain quite firm no major depreciation as they are only a few months old I guess.

The rumour is that the / all manufacturers are pre reg'ing them to get around zev mandate Vs low actual sales.

That wouldn't surprise me. Many of the Macans are new and discounted.

I was considering changing my 4 year old Taycan for a Macan before the new tax year and actually there are very few unregistered 4Ss to choose from.

We've broken through the 300 barrier, 311 now on AT.

I would imagine a good chunk of potential buyers are battening down the hatches until the financial markets steady themselves.

Just fitted the Guardsman Dog guard - for any dog owners out there. Fit is tidy and build quality is great. Better than the previous OEM BMW ones I’ve had.

No rattles or squeaks or anything like that? I've been looking.
Had Travall dog guard and divider on previous cars which i was very happy with but they don't seem to cater for new Macan yet.

Very quiet thus far.
The same couldn’t be said for the last one I had (BMW X3) - creaked like crazy!

About to pull the trigger on a Macan 4s. Options are getting a bit out of hand. What’s the consensus on 4ws or not? I’m thinking of not going for it but ticking air suspension as hopefully decent comfort and range.

Personally I'd go air and stick with 21s or even 20s.
RWS is just something else to go wrong, plus it'll give your OPC what they'll see as a valid excuse to charge you even more when you take it in for a service.

I have RWS on my Taycan and have driven cars without it. I would want it.

Sharpens the handling and improves the turning circle more than on paper suggests.

Not that it helps, but air suspension would be something I'd want on cars this heavy too.

I have just had a 2 day drive with a Macan 4S demo, with 21" wheels and air suspension. It drove very well. I am not sure that 4wd is needed. Ihad 4wd on my previous 992 but not on my current 992 4GTS. It does make a difference but I am not sure whether the level of difference justifies the option, except when driving g the car hard.

I thought if you had a 992 4GTS then it was 4wd?

I'm hoping to get an EV Macan as a loaner when my GTS Macan has it's first service next month.

My apologies, that was an error on my part, I mean't 4 wheel steering

After deliberating I’ve pulled the trigger. Kept with the 20 inch S wheels for the ride plus I like the design. Air suspension but no RWS or PTV. It’s mainly the family wagon and the wife’s car so didn’t go for a hardcore spec like if it was mainly for me. Easy to go wild with options but stuck to a few to make it good for distance.

Now the hunt for what to swap my daily for in the autumn.

Point worth noting. I went through a 3rd party broker for a business lease and they were miles cheaper than any Porsche garage would get near. Despot the car still coming from a Porsche dealer and just being delivered on a trailer in a few months

Nice one.
21s look nice but after 6 months you'd stop looking at them anyway and wish you'd gone for the 20s for the ride, which you have already, so no sweat.

Most for sale online (ex-demos etc) have all got bloody 22s on. Sod that.

My Taycan Turbo S is in for some work so I have had a Macan 4S for a couple of weeks.

I’ve enjoyed the car. It rides well even on 22” wheels. It’s quick with 509hp. I’ve been jaded by my car as 509hp didn’t blow my mind. But, I did think it was more than enough to replace my Taycan and I wouldn’t think the car was slow. My wife has never been in my Taycan at full acceleration.

I took a look at the spec and it comes out at $100K. That was a shock. My Cayenne GTS was not much more. Yes, it’s a 2013 so a lot of time has passed. But, $100k Macan seems steep.

My wife thinks it isn’t special enough for the price.
