Or that these are distressed sales ...
If the current selling prices were the target retail prices at the commencement of the design stage ... would these models exist ??
Could be a sign of which way the current new porsche marking is heading. Thats one hell if a discount on a brand new car. The profit margins these porsche dealers must operate at when selling cars at full retail must be huge. If the current selling prices were the target retail prices at the commencement of the design stage ... would these models exist ??

1 year depreciation will be bigger than the new car discount imo
Quickest way as a private car buyer to lose money is to buy an EV

Dealers will shift cars at a loss to achieve quarterly sales figures.

Or to release cash ... I tend to agree.
Porsche would not allow OPC's to make 40% or 30% or probably even 20% on base spec cars ... maybe they make this on the accessories ??
I honestly don’t know what margin the dealers work to per car, but I’m guessing it’s low.Porsche would not allow OPC's to make 40% or 30% or probably even 20% on base spec cars ... maybe they make this on the accessories ??
Servicing, bonuses and used car sales probably make up 90% of their GP I would suggest.

This one? Says list is £120k and is up for £108k.
That’s the sort of discount levels I’m seeing online. I spoke to my pic today and mentioned I would be needing c25% off and wasn’t met with much enthusiasm.

OPC’s probably have targets for % of cars they need to sell that are EV’s by the end of the year as Porsche GB does.
We all know there were hundreds of new Taycan’s listed online a few months ago that disappeared overnight. We also know that Porsche sales are still about 20% behind last year…with Taycan sales globally about 50% down.
So there are probably still a lot of Taycan’s in a field somewhere that need to find a home.

Mark Mcann has video on YouTube trying to get on the list for a GT3 RS, one dealer offers to sell him one if he buys 3 Taycan fisrt. He gets a quote from (Tom Hartley?) to sell them straight on - would result in a 70k loss per car.
Wasn't that posted quite some time ago?Murph7355 said:

When I raced at Silverstone international in August, there was a field on the perimeter road that must have had several hundred Taycans in it. It was near to their PEC but there were far too many to have been experience cars.Have been trying to contact a few OPCs today and my God it’s hard work.
Even though I’ve emailed a very direct request (basically I’m after x at y price and if you can do that please get in touch) I still get calls from sales people that say that haven’t seen my message and have just been given my name and number by their manager. So brings the rapport building, then the finance chat then I give up and complain about it on Pistonheads.
I hate sales processes.

Well, don't bother contacting Porsche Norwich. Both cars have gone up £10k today.Even though I’ve emailed a very direct request (basically I’m after x at y price and if you can do that please get in touch) I still get calls from sales people that say that haven’t seen my message and have just been given my name and number by their manager. They obviously don't want to sell them
