Have been trying to contact a few OPCs today and my God it’s hard work.
Even though I’ve emailed a very direct request (basically I’m after x at y price and if you can do that please get in touch) I still get calls from sales people that say that haven’t seen my message and have just been given my name and number by their manager. So brings the rapport building, then the finance chat then I give up and complain about it on Pistonheads.
I hate sales processes.
Well, don't bother contacting Porsche Norwich. Both cars have gone up £10k today.Even though I’ve emailed a very direct request (basically I’m after x at y price and if you can do that please get in touch) I still get calls from sales people that say that haven’t seen my message and have just been given my name and number by their manager. They obviously don't want to sell them

They hate the fact we can now see advertisement sale history via AT.

oh yes I forgot - the shoe is now on the other foot and its now a buyers market.
is the whole VW group in denial?
they have excess stock and the group is in dire straits.
After reading this thread, I couldn't help but recall the words of Porsche CFO Lutz Meschke back in 2023 on the price increases :
“We will see significant price increases in the middle of the year for the new model year. That will help a lot to make sure we make strong group operating margins”
“We have a very good foundation with a very strong brand and a very strong customer base that gives us the power to increase prices in very challenging times and in an intelligent manner”
The article in Autocar went on to say "Porsche believes customers would accept higher prices across the board."
And here we are less than 2 years later citing discounts of over 25%

Mark Mcann has video on YouTube trying to get on the list for a GT3 RS, one dealer offers to sell him one if he buys 3 Taycan fisrt. He gets a quote from (Tom Hartley?) to sell them straight on - would result in a 70k loss per car.
I can't stand that odious little prick.balham123 said:

I’m sure this is going to impact sales and cause even further depreciation.

Jaguar did this recall and monitoring software update ages ago. Mainly early cars affected.RECALL ON TAYCANS - RISK OF FIRE.

Whilst it may or may not have an effect on depreciation, I used to watch this guy but he’s so negative it became a bind and I see he’s still going on and on and on and on.RECALL ON TAYCANS - RISK OF FIRE.

His main issue is simple - he bought a Taycan when times were better, it has lost loads of money and he’s got the right hump.
