Nice!And on 20s - perfect.
Do you mind sharing what sort of discount you managed to get?

Lovely.Did you get chance for a decent test drive?
I mainly ask as I found the 14-way seats a little uncomfy...that may be down to me being a larger athlete /used to the 18-way. And also how you found the handling.

No test drive. I had a Taycan ST as a loaner a while ago and thought it was pretty good. Can’t remember what seats it had though. I had 14 way seats in a 991.1 and thought they were comfortable so I guess these will be the same or similar? Did you get chance for a decent test drive?

Congratulations DD, you won't regret it. On another point had a Taycan 2 loaner last week. Range is not an issue for me but does anyone know if Taycan 1 can be upgraded to new battery pack/software?
I really don’t think you need to worry about it.Unless you want to drive 270 miles or whatever it is (and it won’t be what they suggest it will be!), the MK1 does a fine job. My GTS does 225 or so average and the difference to the MK2 isn’t huge.
Stop every couple of hours, 15 minutes on a fast charger to 80% and away you go (I base my thoughts on 40,000 miles under my belt in a Taycan including several very, very long journeys around Europe)
I was offered a Taycan 4 CT in shade green. Dealer demo 05/24 with 4900 miles for £79k before pushing harder. They offered the same for my Defender as I paid 2.5yrs ago. The Taycan was £119995.00 new. My wife said we should wait as the Taycan was going down quicker than the Defender. I think I will get one eventually it’s just all about the deal. What are the must haves?

Driving to the south of france is something we do a couple of times a year so hope the Taycan will not require us to adapt our routes too much, Unless you want to drive 270 miles or whatever it is (and it won’t be what they suggest it will be!), the MK1 does a fine job. I’ve mentioned it on here before, but one of the great benefits of driving in france is being able to cover great distances at a steady 85mph+ And I worry what that means to the range.

Pretty sure mine doesn't have the 150kW on-board DC-DC converter so presume fast charging not an option for me out and about?Unless you want to drive 270 miles or whatever it is (and it won’t be what they suggest it will be!), the MK1 does a fine job. You don't need the converter to use the fastest 800v chargers. Just to make the most of slower 400v chargers which you will otherwise be limited to 50kW.As far as I know....

On the previous gen Taycan it was an option, the new ones do some sort of clever split pack thing and you don't need it so they can charge faster on a 400V charger. Easy way to see if you have it other than looking at your options is to use an open Tesla charger, if you only get 50kw you don't have it.RobbyJ said:

Well, my local dealer (Dick Lovett) must be selling all the Taycans they need to...
Contacted two of the dealerships in the group a couple of weeks ago expressing an interest in a new / nearly new ST or CT - to close before the end of the year. No reply from one. The other asked me to list my desired colours and options which I did immediately. Nothing since.
And, for perspective, I am local and an existing customer having bought 5 cars from them.
I know. I should chase, but perhaps it's for the best (financially for me).
