Taycan options
Discussion
I currently have a HUD in my Range Rover and really missed it for the few daily cars I owned post-M5, which also had one. It's one of those things I always forget about until I have a car with one, then I remember how much I like them. It's not a Taycan-dealbreaker for me, but I would prefer a car with one.
I don't agree with them being a distraction; if anything I find it the opposite. Especially if you're switching between cars regularly and don't have the muscle memory in your eyes to quickly glance at the right spot on the speedo / dash!

Have you used one at speed down country b-roads?I don't agree with them being a distraction; if anything I find it the opposite. Especially if you're switching between cars regularly and don't have the muscle memory in your eyes to quickly glance at the right spot on the speedo / dash!

I quite like it on A-roads and motorways....but not on b-roads.
Yes, I live in the middle of nowhere and most of my driving is on unlit roads!
I adjust the brightness right down when I’m driving around here at night.
I don’t know how the Porsche one looks but the BMW and JLR HUDs have a level of configurability and I find the ability to have the sat nav directions in the HUD is particularly useful when driving somewhere unfamilia.

I love my HUD and wouldn't want to be without it, only downside for me is only the inbuilt nav directions show up on it. It would be great if the CarPlay maps, Waze or google maps, would display on the HUD like they do on a few cars.
One option I would need is rear-steering like someone said above. I can't tell the difference at speed, would probably need to test back to back to notice, but at low speeds it is great. Makes it very manoeuvrable and belies its size, turns tighter than my daughters 2-door mini and boys Mazda 2.

For unfamiliar roads, I tend to agree. Though I'm not then travelling as quickly.

The Porsche HUD is nicely configurable. Can out satnav directions in there, along with a few other bits and pieces.
Back to other options.
I viewed a car last week which has a decent spec but, possibly crucially, the standard stereo. I've had a few Porsches in the past without Bose or higher and they've been really bad. Is the Taycan the same? I'm hoping to go view a Bose car (that is lacking some other bits of spec...) later this week to compare. These are approved cars so I don't want to invalidate the warranty by replacing speakers etc.

I've got the standard stereo and it's s**t!!!! Wish I had the Bose but buying used it was the only car that ticked my other essential boxes. I could upgrade it but really can't be arsed.I viewed a car last week which has a decent spec but, possibly crucially, the standard stereo.
