Silly question. When using the granny charger should the cable going into the car lock or not as it s not a proper charger?
Just noticed I took mine out when it wasn t charging but it was plugged in and I didn t need to unlock it.
Is it different with a proper instavolt etc as it s carrying more power or am I doing something wrong.
Just a bit concerned I could get in and drive off my drive if it s not locked, so the car doesn t know?
It will lock when the car is locked, and you can unplug it when the car is unlocked. Most public chargers will lock in whilst charging, especially RapidsJust noticed I took mine out when it wasn t charging but it was plugged in and I didn t need to unlock it.

Theres's a failsafe in EV's that prevents them moving if a cable is plugged in so you shouldnt have any worries there

Well I cant take it out when the car is locked and its not charging , thats the example above I gave, thats what surprised me.
Yeh, thats to stop people walking past and just taking the cable out, but generally 3 pin "granny" chargers dont lock as they have the "slot" missing that allows the car to lock the cable inEdited by garpat32 on Thursday 30th October 10:03

I had my car delivered to my home by Snows today so no handover.
Think I've got most things sussed, but I couldn't find the locking wheel nut key, can anyone advise where theirs was stored or does it not have them?
It should be in the boot in the storage compartment under the floor. I picked up my car today and the locking nut came in a little black plastic box.Think I've got most things sussed, but I couldn't find the locking wheel nut key, can anyone advise where theirs was stored or does it not have them?
Picked up from Snows this afternoon. 100+ mile journey home mainly A34/M3/M4 - really like the car. Ethan was brilliant throughout.
Some thoughts Vs Model Y which I had for 3 years (Long Range AWD).
C10 much quieter and better ride quality. Better ACC/LCC compared with basic Tesla Autopilot. Resumes on lane change, doesn't panic for bridges and junctions. Real wipers that don't dry wipe because a camera is dirty.
Tesla much quicker although the C10 improves a lot in sport mode. Eco was dreadful but I also never drove the Tesla in Chill.
Tesla better audio.
C10 better driving position but worse seats I think. But looking forward to the cooling. C10 better climate control.
Tesla overall better luggage space with frunk and under boot but C10 better shape main boot.
C10 better looks. Subjective of course

Am hoping the stereo is still decent, it's something I've missed in the ID Buzz and particular Ford Explorer.
I'd recommend no-one ever uses Eco mode in any EV, it makes them all lethargic, almost dangerously so in some, and shuts down proper heating/aircon - maybe as a measure if you're trying to get somewhere on very low battery but even then, it doesn't make that much difference, just go comfort/sport and go easier on the throttle, same effect!
Cheers chaps, glad you found it useful.
In terms of the stereo - it sounds pretty good but it doesn't go especially loud, but it's loud enough to be honest. I also just discovered the equaliser so maybe that will make some difference! I've played music through DAB and apple music via Bluetooth.
Just fitted my Ali express mats that were handily delivered today. Not as good quality as my Tessery rubber mats in the MY (these feel less rubbery) but a decent fit and seem exactly what I needed. Pics attached but it was dark! Ambient lighting pic as well.

A couple of times yesterday I got into the car using the bluetooth key but the prompt didn't come up to enter the passcode. What are you supposed to do when that happens? The only way I could fix it was to keep getting out and locking/unlocking the car!
By putting your foot on the brake pedal when you get in, you should get the prompt to use NFC or click on the top right of pop up to use password. Robk999 said:
Yes normally it does but on these occasions I only got the disclaimer and then nothing. I wondered if there was a way to open the NFC screen through the menus somewhere.
The sooner you open the car the quicker the passcode appears, the car has to connect to phone which is slightly slow. You can see it when looking at screen as the icons populate.
I picked up a C10 on Thursday and I’m currently sitting in a car park as it’s broken down.
The NFC card won’t unlock the car, so I’ve had to use the key to enter. Problem is, there’s no way of starting the vehicle.
So, top tip, keep the mechanical key on you, just in case.
And no, I don’t have it set up on my iPhone as there’s been a problem with the system recognising new vehicles. 🤦🏻♂️

Does the computer system boot up at all? I had some weird charging issues where it was causing any public charger I plugged it into to go faulty. A factory reset via the settings fixed everything.
