Just a reminder for people getting high insurance quotes

Change the start date to 21-28 days in advance. I was getting £1.5k if I wanted to insure straight away or £800 if I wanted to insure in 28 days.

Ended up getting stellantis insurance for a month for £120 and then a 12 month policy with Aviva starting 28 days later

On the insurance quote what value are we putting in for the cost of the new vehicle?

HI All, just had a call from Leeds so looks like my vehicle is in the country and becoming a reality!
its my first EV so im a bit clueless but what cables does the car come with?
i have a 16a caravan charger outside here so hoping to use that to charge. We will only do short trips in the C10. Do you know if the standard charger will plug into a blue CEE 16a connector?
I'll probably order some matt and a carplay thing from China when it comes smile
thanks,

Richie C

Anyone managed to get the app to be able to locate the vehicle? It says in my app to update the vehicle location in the car but no one seems to know how to do it?

Anyone know?

Also, the granny charger only charges at 1.7kw not 2.3kw, anyone know if thats right?

Have asked Leapmotor and the dealer but no answer from either.

Started using the Carlinkit from Ali express today. Very impressed with the uplift this gives - comfortable being back in carplay after 3 Tesla years. Music (Apple Music) much improved playing wired versus Bluetooth. I haven't yet tried wireless but probably won't given the sound improvement.

It starts up fast (as quickly as the C10s quite random start times). The pin to start will automatically pop up over it, but need to swipe up to get the bottom bar fixed climate etc.

Huge improvement having apple music, podcasts, Waze etc on tap.

And on the ACC, I did some lane 1 M4 experiments with this on Friday morning. If there is traffic in front below your set speed it seemed noticeably more jittery. Eg truck at 56 and cruise at 62, it will constantly flutter the power up and down. Set it to 56 (let's say car is doing 56 and truck 56.2) then it is much smoother. It seems to try too hard to keep a really consistent gap to the vehicle in front and maintain a speed.

TL;DR on ACC be minutely slower than the vehicle in front for the smoothest drive.

Unfortunately that is typical of granny chargers due to poor efficiency at low AC charging speeds. It's with all granny chargers of any car. With a wallbox you should see efficiency rise to around 90%, meaning out of a 7.4kw draw from the mains, around 6.8kw should actually go into the car.

Hello all!

Just ordered my C10 for March delivery, unfortunately not as cheap as some of you on here!

I was just wondering, does anyone actually know if CarPlay is coming?

I can see a post on here that says their dealer said it was coming, I've seen posts saying it's physically impossible because of the hardware, going insane trying to find a solid answer. smile

Also, I did not know it didn't have front rear sensors, seems a bit odd no? Feel a bit silly assuming it would with all the tech you get.

It's a bit of wait and see tbh. It was originally promised in August update but instead we got QDlink mirroring. I'veheard the same as you. I've got the carlinkit and it works really well with Apple and Android. Only issue with it is switching between phones (why there isn't an option to get to the app's settings once in carplay or AA is beyond me) is a bit of a faff as it remembers last phone connected and as such that oe will ned to switch off wifi and BT so other phone can connect. No major biggie.

When you go into the app's settings (before phone connects) there's an option to keep Leapmotor bottom bar fixed. Very handy. Lots of other settings there too.

you have a front camera so when parking you can see whats in front by saving the camera view to a shortcut button the steering wheel. when reversing you get the camera too

Not the end of the world then is it, camera's probably better than sensors then. Thank you

Cheers for the reply, let's wait and see shall we. Thanks for the name of the dongle, hopefully won't need one by the time I get mine biggrin
