Octopus intelligent go isn t compatible with the Leapmotor however if you get your charger from octopus or a charger that is compatible with octopus intelligent go it doesn t matter what car you are charging. I use an Ohme charger and that charges both our MG and now our Leapmotor via intelligent octopus go.
It is now, it’s in the list but as you say it doesn’t matter anyway. Naffy1 said:
Got the leapmotor but not got my Ev charger fitted yet. Queried with octopus and they said maybe ocotopus intelligent isnt suitable for the vehicles so look into ocotpus go. Anyone had this issue or able to help
InPicked ours up yesterday from EH Leeds.
The guy doing the handover had come in on his day off whilst ill.
Can't fault the service from EH from start to finish.
Took the monthly service option at £10 month
Was told the lease is effectively 23 months, so cancel the monthly service plan after the first service.
So far perfect

Anyone having insurance issues? I ve jut tried to sort mine and the quotes have been declined that were teed up - I m broadly assuming as so many have taken policies out.
Can anyone recomend an insurer.
Re ran through MoneySuperMarket and policies jumped from £400 - £1100!!
Insurance can vary enormously. I ended up with Direct Line for £540, while Stellantis (which many here have found cheapest) was £1000+ for me. Can anyone recomend an insurer.

Try Stellantis and uSwitch to generate some more quotes.

Direct line was my cheapest for ages at 450 but as of just refreshing they won t now insure! I wonder if too many have taken out with them and not interested now.

Try changing the insurance start date to 28 days from today. Halved my insurance quote when I did thatStellantis I ve just taken out at £50pcm. Will check again in a month and see if any of come down in price
Does anyone know how far the Bluetooth key app sensing area is supposed to be for the 'close' setting?
I expected it would be around 1-3m, but it must be around 10-12m, as in my house I get constant Bluetooth connected and disconnected app notifications.
I've disabled automatic unlock but I use the door handle unlock feature, which is a security risk if a bluetooth key is in range and connected. Seems that each time I lock the car I'll need to disable this setting, the bluetooth key or switch off my phone's bluetooth...

I’m not sure it works like that and you got me worried so I just tested it. I use the Bluetooth key to lock the car when I walk away, but I don’t use it to unlock the car as like you it unlocks when I’m in the house, so I have that switched off and I press the button on the door to open it. Even though I’m in the house my Bluetooth key shows available so I was thinking that someone could just enter the car by pressing the button but leaving the phone in the house I’ve just gone out to the car and I can’t unlock it.
I don’t think it’s an issue, the phone must need to be very close to the car for it to activate.
Not sure on the exact distance the near and far is, it’s not clear.
Had the car about a week now.
It's working out well.
Just done Bradford to Whitby. So fairly undulating.
Mix of 30 to 50mph limits and a few 70mph stretches.
Stats were as the picture below.
It was cold so temp set to 23. Fan speed 2.
And my wife had her seat heating to level 3 all the way.
Was dark for last 3rd of the journey, and also intermittent drizzle for the last 3rd.
Car in eco. Regeneration was on but not one pedal.

Overall the cars been great. Top it up most evenings, so zero range anxiety.

I went for a test drive in a C10 earlier. I went into it fairly convinced that I would be looking to lease one early next year. After the test drive, I'm not so sure.
The car seemed to have a few faults - both tyre pressure monitors on the nearside were chiming and warning, despite assurances that the tyres had been checked. The rear camera had been removed to fix a customer's car - not a fault with the car I drove per-se, but evidence of another fault. During the drive, the screen kept popping up a message saying "your experience would be improved by switching to kilometers". It thought the speed limit on the motorway was 30
There was more; that's just the stuff I remember off the top of my head. I checked and the system said the software was the latest version.
The various bing-bongs were very distracting. I was also a bit surprised to find there's no wireless charger for your phone - presumably a cut cost.
It's a shame, because the drive itself and the general fit-and-finish were good. Performance was adequate and the ride comfort/noise was good.
I'm not really sure what to do now. A cheap two year lease might be infuriating even at a bargain price.
Are these types of faults common, or is it possible I just drove a Friday afternoon car?

All the bongs can be turned off once you set the car up in settings.
There is a wireless charger, it’s right next to the cup holders. Maybe it wasn’t switched on, it can be toggled on and off on the iPad.
I would drive another one, mine has been perfect but if they had removed the camera etc then I expect the car didn’t like that and would throw a wobbly through warnings etc.

I would also test drive another one, the issue I found with some of the dealerships was that they didn t update all their cars software. Everything you questioned above has been fixed. Also as mentioned by the previous commenter the wireless charger is there.
I went into the menus to check and it said the software was the latest version. The dealer said that the tray (which I assumed was a wireless charger) was where you put the key card and not a charger - I guess they were incorrect. It's possible the removed camera was causing a bunch of faults. A lot will now depend on the cost Vs the new MG S6 which I also drove recently and liked more, but which is a bit more expensive.

It needs connecting to wifi to get updates or a simple reboot to sort out the tyre pressure warning & speed indication.
Was that car set to use card only, the phone sits where the card does & charges.
USB C port below for additional if needed & USB A for pen drive to record all cams on any route.
You can swipe down on the screen & turn off most of the bongs.
Or personalise the car from quick access on ST wheel.
People slag these off but nothing comes close to the value we got on this deal & rare as hens teeth on the road, still not seen another near me in over 3 months.

Does the car not do OTA updates via 4/5G? Does stuff like Spotify run on the car's connection, or does it need to be tethered to your phone?Another thing I noticed is the lack of front parking sensors. I find these invaluable on a large car, especially when you're navigating a multi-story carpark. Do the cameras give adequate coverage of the front corners, or are scrapes going to be a risk?
