As they say ‘act in haste, repent at leisure…..”
i ordered one of these on the cheap deals as a punt without test driving it.
Delivered yesterday (and thats a story on its own- was meant to be here in Nov but Stelantis finance and the dealership cocked up the finance agreements for a number of customers and its ended up two months late.)
To say I’m disappointed in it with first impressions are an understatement- many of my issues may well be a little “first world” but they are annoying all the same.
Firstly, incredulous it only comes with one actual key- I understand you can order another card from the dealer at circa £100 ish but you really shouldn’t have to. But there is the bluetooth key some may shout….
Well, that in itself is cretinous. I did for a period of time manage to set one up on one phone. However, the minute we have tried to set one up on another the app and car has thrown a hissy fit and won’t recognise either.
I’ve had to factory reset it.
Yet to manage to get it to reconnect (I’m unsure as I’ve reset it, the car needs registering to me again)
In no particular order:
Why the radio doesn't come on with the car start up escapes me- I think this can be automated though
Will not connect to Wifi on standard router settings
The sat nav is archaic- I can’t remember the last time i saw one with only partial postcodes- yes can be fixed with a car-link kit and waze
Random activity- driving along and it put a rear window down on its own and also moved a mirror as if i was parking (at 60 mph….)
Whilst you can set preferences to different drivers it doesn't seem to always work- hit and miss when i sit down if i get “me”, or crushed by the steering wheel as the seat moves for the 5’3 other driver
The screen seems very sensitive- without actually touching it but moving a hand past it (pick up something from the cupholder) it goes off
The exterior door handles seem very flimsy, I don't have much faith in them lasting
The biggest issue is the ride- we did a five mile journey and I got car sick.
The seats are very soft and very unsupportive- im not expecting sports car bolsters, but it reminds me of sitting on a swiss ball
The suspension is trampoline like- it wallows and bounces all over the place- it’s ok in terms of cornering, but the pitching up and down reminds me of being on a bus.
There is a nasty resonance from the rear axle
The damping is poor- mild pot holes feel like a canyon and have the thing bouncing all over the place
Other than being cheap and spacious, I’m struggling to find any redeeming features with it.

I’ve never understood why anyone this fussy would order a car so undesirable it’s being given away without test driving it first i ordered one of these on the cheap deals as a punt without test driving it.

Well you can put full postcode in to the nav you just need to leave a space after the first part of the postcode like it s written in the post code normal format, hardly an issue.
As for the drive, sounds like you have a different car to mine, I ve come from an X5 which I bought new 3 years ago and the ride is nicer than that.

I wouldn't say its “fussy” to expect the BT key to work without having to factory reset the car (twice thus far), to have more than one key, it not to randomly open a window and move a mirror, the app to work on two phones concurrently and the seat by way offering a driver preference to work, its a very cheap car per month, but that doesn’t excuse things not working properly.
I didn't test drive one as there wasn’t one available in the time frame to secure the deal within 100 miles, so I took a chance.
It’s a 3rd car to commute in as my daily milage has recently increased by quite a bit, and this costs me less to lease and home charge than I would spend on fuel alone (V6 Amarok or a Gulia Quadrofoligio) so it’s not the end of the world, I just personally expected less irritations with a new car.
To be fair I’m not experiencing the same issues you are! The BT works, the auto lock/unlock hasn’t been great since the last update but before that it worked well.
My wife has access on the app, no issue and the ride quality is soft but that’s not an issue. It’s no worse or no better for different reasons than my previous Model Y.
Bar the charging speed and to some extent the efficiency! (although winter is a killer) I genuinely have no issues and considering I am paying £275/month vs £600/month do my previous Model Y I am more than happy with it!

Same here and would argue that the ride is dar better than almost all of my previous cars (BMW,Peugeot,Mercedes, etc).
I do get the car doing random things, ours puts down a window every once in a while when we unlock it, always a rear one, and we have had it a few times where it thinks i am the wife but that os probably me needing to lose weight and lose my moobs!

I recognise this from the test drive. It felt really decent when the roads are good. My initial impression was it was very European and VW like. Then when the road got challenging, cracked and potholed, undulations, the car fell apart. I thought something in the rear actually broke, the bang was that loud from a particular hump / compression. The seats are very soft and very unsupportive- im not expecting sports car bolsters, but it reminds me of sitting on a swiss ball

It’s definitely a budget car.
Ride quality is far better than my Model 3 imo. Roads around here are shocking but I find it soaks up the potholes and undulations pretty well. It's not a car to be hustled and the steering requires more input than I'm used to but it's a big SUV style car. Apparently, Maserati engineers were involved in tuning the suspension for European markets.

The OP above must have different car to most of us.We collected ours from Leeds & mrs mentioned how comfy the car was within first hour. Since been to Bicester Village & back on one charge & again got out feeling like just been down the village.
I ve never used the card in five months of ownership, set iPhone to car using QR code & don t look back.
Others mention lack of sensors but the 360 cams are far superior for parking in tight spaces & getting this 5m SUV central in todays spaces is easy.
The ride is fine & for a big lump & incredibly spacious inside, if you really do hate it why not ask if someone will take over the lease for you?
Nothing currently comes anywhere near what we payed for these.
Awaiting latest update as the code could appear quicker on screen my only annoyance.

I would kinda agree on the ride from the disappointed user above.
Whilst i don't have a C10, i have driven one several times (colleagues) and i do think that the ride is a bit 'pattery' and poor when the roads aren't ideal (which not many are around here).
However, as others have said, it's a huge amount of car for the daft prices it was going for back then.

Yes, it s firm over small cracks, expansion joints etc, but there isn t corresponding control over the big stuff. Worst of both worlds. It’s the inverse of what a well sorted car should be.Whilst i don't have a C10, i have driven one several times (colleagues) and i do think that the ride is a bit 'pattery' and poor when the roads aren't ideal (which not many are around here).

Overall a very pleasant way to spend 2000miles since Oct and so far cost about £60 in IOG charges....

My dad has just taken delivery of a new Kia EV3 GT Line S so can compare more nature EV tech and drive with mine (he lives with us)
Oh and I live in SE London so obviously no speed bumps and billiard table smooth roads sans potholes.... lol

Reference the Bluetooth key, mine worked perfectly before the update and after the update has been glitchy. Often apps still have bugs in them so I deleted and reinstalled the app and it s worked perfectly since.
I suggest you try that if you re having issues.
It works on one phone, or the other. Not if we both have the app installed on our phones (one android, one apple if it makes a difference)- obviously both logged into the same account. I suggest you try that if you re having issues.
Im awaiting a definitive answer from the dealer about ordering another key card.

Have the second person download the app and register an account. Then you go into your app. Go to Personal Centre then My vehicle then click vehicle then shared member and add shared member. I've got this setup for myself, my wife and my dad. App works seamlessly in that aspect.
