Bloody hell man, top work and spotless garage plus the picture of you in the driving seat shows how good todays young people can be!

I went out in my garage to get a picture but fell over my junk.

Bit more progress made over the last few weeks:

Wing mirrors fitted. Decided to opt for units with side repeaters. May be OK for IVA but easy to have some alternative units if not. As they were origionally black and sealed units I had to smash the mirrors to dissasemble them for paint !! Polycarbonate screen also made and fitted:

What are the rules regarding the little screen - is it under a certain size, therfore not considered to be a windscreen?

The front and rear wings do make a big difference to the look of the car without them the car doesn't look right. Anyway good work keep it up.

Looking good there Mabbs!

One question though - I notice a distinct lack of tools in your spotless garage - are you sure it's not the kit-fairys building your car???? biggrin

Sorry, can not answer the question in full. The screen comes with the kit, although I have re-shaped it. I beleive it is due to the size as it then becomes a full screen and has to meet different citeria. Fot IVA it's easier just to remove.

There are front and rear wing kits available from RTR/MEV as an optional extra. I have had my carbon wings made for the car, but yes personaly I agree that the asthetics of the car looks better with them, how they perform - I will have to find out !!

I have a workshop out the back and only assembly is done in the garage !! it has become known as the 'operating theater' on the MEV/RTR forum !!

Sorry, it's just the way I work, and I can assure you there are no 'fairys' !!

They should do well. There is plenty of nice clean air to both. Rear hoop Dose get in the way slightly from the pics, but can't see it making much difference to the wings performance. :-)

Few more progress pics:

Decided to bite the bullet and go for the Tilton 3 chamber reservoir. Had to modify the brake pot lids to take float switches for IVA:

Dash lay-out is now complete. Made a pattern then a pre-preg part to sit the dash2 flush in a recess. Will also be fitting the new Dash 4 pro and a data logger after IVA:

Bonnet Rams also fitted. Easy to fit, but a pig to get the lift correct. Ended up using 150mm stroke length:

Stunning build, are you really going to fit those red seats? it would look so much better with a pair of carbon Tillett seats.

Full under bonnet pic. On MEV/RTR forum there has been a good thread with regards cooling from a heavy track day user (thanks Motorhead). Sounds common sense, but directing the air flow though the rad and out the vent rather than just a mass of open air has been given massive gain in temperature drop and stability on track, so panels have been fitted to direct the airflow. Just the front floor pan to fit. Also fitted the pre-rad for the charge cooler. Custom made and a twin-pass unit:

The origional plan was to fit full carbon seats that weigh 2.2kg each !! They are still available to me, but as the build has progressed I decided I wanted more comfort due to the fact that the useage for me is likley to be more road than track based. (I may be building a race version for the 750 motorclub). Asthetically for me thay suit the car very well for looks but will add around a total of 15kg over the carbon seats. They can be easily changed in the future and have been my only weight gain to the origional plan

Supercharger bracket has been fitted. Just the pulleys, adjuster and new charger to fit (charger fitted is for mock-up):

Loads to be getting on with at the moment including pipework, chargecooler, bulkhead, and fuel tank system. Making good progress for my target completion date !!
