MEV Replicar Build Pictures

I am not sure that it would be appropriate to sell you one Steffan, you have too many toys already!
Short clip here of the whole show. Don't miss it next time. It really is a great show.

Morning Stuart, thank you for the update. I will do my, (generally not very good), best!! best. My difficulty is that SWMBO needs to be rewarded both for putting up with me and for being very understanding about fifteen Kit cars and classic cars littering up three properties. In consequence much time is spent on holiday abroad. But I will get over to your factory with two like minded pals this autumn. We are all very interested in your beautiful Replicar product. What a glorious car!Short clip here of the whole show. Don't miss it next time. It really is a great show.

Just out of interest (as I love an older car and kits) what's is your current fleet Steffan?
I have been asked before I will eventually get my collection on PH in some detail. Not relevant to this post about the MEV Replicar which quite rightly is the focus of this thread. I am determined to build one of these and all my energies are focused at finishing my existing stock to that end. Beautiful and evocative delight that the Replicar is!Baron Greenback said:

Similar maybe, but there are obvious unresolved challenges in the yankmoobile. The wheel arches are very suspect poorly shaped and not right at all. The front end looks very fragile to me and not at all well connected to the chassis. At any kind of speed the front assembly will flutter at best and probably suffer distortion at worst. Unsupported fibreglass on a front end of a 100++ car is simply asking for trouble IMO. I admire the paint job but underneath? Not for me.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vC3Xdfz3TUA

Stuart - what's happened to the nice replicar.com site, only info on the car I can find is on the main MEV site ? The style of that site fitted the product nicely.
Well done for noticing, it was a marketing exercise but we found the site visits to be insignificant and the message confusing. That's a shame as the feel of the site and info was good, I actually liked the "impressionist" pictures. Nothing to do with confusion with www.replicar.co.uk then ?

The light aircraft grey chassis looks close to the original Aston Martin DBR1 colour and style. Nearly all the kits that have gone out have had black chassis but this appeals.
It does look more appropriate in this setting and I like it. This really is an outstanding vehicle and having viewed the car in some detail several times I am absolutely convinced that it will sell very, very successfully. Which in today's kit car market is a tremendous achievement. I have the greatest respect both for your considerable energy and design ability. Keep it up Stuart, keep it up! Once I finish the kit cars I am completing (you know I have far too many!!) I will be over to buy one from you, Stuart! Keep it Up!billybradshaw said:
Stuart, if you could 'knock up' one of these dancing donkeys I would just have to have one of each.
That does appeal to me, I have a yellow shield logo ready with a prowling panther on it replacing the prancing horse. I can modify the front grille but the back would be more DBR1. We have modified the back of the mould now so it is closer to the Aston Martin but IVA compliant for lights. The side strakes could also be changed. The MX5 engine is perfect as the 250TR in the picture used a 4 cyl twin cam with a red top of course.I have to say the red one I have made for a customer looks great, the colour shows the curves nicely.
