Doing a few mods and have managed to brake the windscreen on my Tiger Supercar.

Tiger want £90+ that is a laugh and have others had screens made up at car windscreen replacements local to them?\

I was hoping I could take mine as it's in one piece and see if they can copy and cut.

Have others done this and is it possible ?

£90? Doesn't seem dear for a windscreen. Surely it'll cost more getting someone to start cutting/forming a "one-off"?

Excess for a windscreen claim is usually £75 these days.

Will the £90 screen explode in your face after a stone hits it though? I'd imagine a one-off glass screen would.

90 quid doesn't seem a lot for a new screen. Cheap in fact.

It will be a normal laminated screen, so why would you imagine that?

I had a screen made for my Striker locally, just phoned a few companies from the Yellow Pages until I found one that was happy to do the job.

£90 sounds like a bargain to be honest.

Technically not correct. 6mm laminated glass will generally have an interlayer between the two pieces of glass that is 0.38mm thick. A laminated windscreen is usually made with a 0.76mm interlayer, classed as high penetration resistance (HPR) laminated glass. Most glass merchants do not stock HPR glass but will willingly cut a copy of your existing glass from normal laminated.

Happy to help if you need to have a screen cut to shape.

I will remember you for the future Phil. Have this sorted locally but good to know of a PH'er who are local and can be used.
