I like that, would be nice with a modern v8. Will have to see what gearbox and transaxle they use.

Their price list states that "the bare Metro donor bodyshell must not have a sunroof and the main bodyshell must be structurally sound", which seems to imply that the kit does not include a main body tub?

Spoke to them today. You supply them a rover 100 or metro shell and they convert it. The good news is you can use Scooby suspension, brakes, hubs etc. Plus Audi or boxster gearbox and then Audi v6.

I think I will be ordering one but may have to sell my 205 gti to make room

I can remember when you could have bought an original considerably cheaper than that - it doesn't feel like that long ago, either!

yeah, I remember those times as well, very cheap, and now? 200k + gbp... almost unbelievable, sadly at the time, not that money free and no extra place here... but if you had money and a big garage/shed, you could make yourself rich with a nice hobby, over the years I've seen many many sport cars for way to less, and wondering, if I had the money and place, I would be a millionaire + by now.

by the way, you still can own a lot money with cars, sometimes they still pop up way under the price they are asking and rare cars you almost know for certain that in 5-10 years they go double that or more... and some people work that way, even with new cars, but thats a bigger gamble I think.
