It comes with manual & cd. But you don't have to use them.

Dreadful, isn't it?

And only one of several dangerously bad designs perpetrated by R**** H***.

Despite which, there still used to be owners on here willing to defend them!

WTF, that can’t be right surely, just to mock up? it’s not even close to being a viable suspension setup.

He has fitted the top wishbones upside down. The coil over shocks should be mounted from the bottom of the upright onto a chassis point. That had taken a lot of thought & effort to come out with this set up.

I can see what you're thinking but those aren't wishbones+coilovers, they're fixed mountings for the top of the McPherson struts... They won't be fixed for very long!

Shocking! (no pun intended)

I can see the McPherson strut idea, but dismissed it originally. I can't find another 7 type with McPherson, and look at the bottom drop-link. It is a trailing arm aided with an anti roll bar.
I'm convinced is assembled incorrectly - but!!

they are Sierra wishbones, its how Ford used to do mcpherson struts, using the arb as the rear link, penny pinching at its finest!

My Cossie was like that until I changed it to compression struts and then WRC cradle....it’s pretty basic and compromised suspension front and especially rear on what was a quick car back in the day.

Ok. Thanks for the info. So my comments now are -
Why even design this for a seven style car,
Coil overs don't look strong enough,
IVA compliance?

Keeps the cost of the kit down by using as many components from the doner as possible, similar to how the exocet uses the mx5 subframes etc. By no means ideal in this case but that is the aim. Earlier attempts by robin hood used the Sierra hubs, wishbones and arb mated to a supplied upper wishbone to give a double wishbone suspension with inboard shocks, a better attempt in my mind.
